About this house rental
Enjoy a peaceful vacation at our Tree House in the Smoky Mountains. 3-4 bedrooms with 3 & 1/2 baths await you less than 0.3 mile from Main Street in Highlands. Walk to and fish at catch-and-release Harris Lake or simply relax and feed the ducks and geese. A stroll brings you to all of the downtown shops in minutes. The house sleeps 10. The primary bedroom is on the main floor with a king-size bed and en suite bath. The loft has a queen bed in a private bedroom, with its own bathroom. The ground floor has a bedroom with two double beds and a Jack and Jill bath that is shared with an adjoining room that has two twin beds.
The state-of-the-art kitchen is equipped with high-end Kitchen-Aid appliances. The kitchen has a breakfast bar with extra seating adjoining the dining area.
After a hard day of hiking or shopping relax in the outdoor hot tub on a balcony off the living room. Enjoy a glass of wine in front of a roaring fire during those cool evenings in Highlands.
Most of the time you don't need the AC but the house is fully air-conditioned

We stayed a month at this lovely mountain lodge. It was well appointed as well as homey and comfortable. The location was fantastic, easy walk to town and great neighborhood.
The homeowners were fantastic and communicated often to be sure all was going well and check-in/out was easy.
We would definitely stay there again and Highlands is great with many in-town trails, nearby waterfalls, wonderful restaurants, music, farmers market and arts and craft fairs.

We had a great after Christmas family trip to Highlands. This house was perfect for our family. The house had everything we needed. The downstairs was a perfect setup for our daughter/SIL/grandsons. Great location, close to downtown which was a priority for us.

Front door unlocked. Only 2 towels upstairs for a 4 night stay. Toilets clogged when they shouldn’t have. Dishes in the cabinet dirty. We ran 3 dishwasher loads to be able to use. Pillows in the closet are gross. The covered back porch had been used and not cleaned, including dirty glasses left out there. Bathtubs have rings of dirt. Cobwebs and dust bunnies with pet hair. Overall the home needs a good deep cleaning. We are leaving our comments to provide you information to upscale your property and rentals. Overall you have a beautiful place.
