Good but expandable

Central located Hotel. Very good looking, impressive building. Grocery shops available within 20 minutes of walking. 24 hours free hot drinks (tea,coffee,Kakao) available. Small lounge for chatting or drinking/eating with fridge and microwave. Good selection of food for breakfast. Nice view from the balcony.

The only staff we saw were the ones at the breakfast. They were very friendly and quickly working. We stayed for one week and had hung our sign with the wish of cleaning our room for four days without any notice. We ran out of towels (one towel per customer), shampoo and toilet paper. The cleaning crew didn’t speak any English as we approached them. When we called the hotel hotline they were very understanding and luckily send someone the same day for cleaning. Bedsheets weren’t changed and the bathroom had some stains when we arrived. The elevator was broken so we had to carry our stroller in the staircase.

Extraordinary location in old military complex. First impression is that the facilities might be a bit Spartan, but that's just from the outside, interior and amenities up to standard. Combination with breakfast in former mess hall completes the experience. Friendly staff; bike could be stored overnight in the basement.

Army Sergeant training college now a great hotel

The rooms in the old sergeant training college are very light and spacious with a balcony looking out over the water. Superb beds and large modern bathroom. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and even the soft boiler eggs were..soft boiled. Normally you find then hard and rubbery. Free parking by number plate registration. Keypad entry and no reception which works perfectly. Highly recommend. Als and Sønderborg is one the the most lovely places in Denmark and the promenade bars and restaurants give plenty og options. I actually lived there in the 80s and always love going back. Point of interest..the crown prince of Denmark attended the training college..as did my daughter

Fantastic value for money - extremely comfortable - will stay here again

The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I have never stayed in a budget hotel with such a nice room, comfy sofa, heated bathroom floor, large flat screen TV, etc.

There was never any staffing at reception. I checked in the mornings and afternoons. I put out a sign asking for my room to be cleaned (I wanted fresh towels), but the sign was removed even though nobody serviced the room.

This is more like rent a room, no reception, no staff, no room cleaning during the stay, no facilities. super basic. towels were dirty as as the bedding mainly due to poor washing of them.
