2.8 Acres of Mountain Magic. Close to Everything.

We loved the house, the view, the deer on the property, the accommodations, the communication with the owners, the well stocked kitchen and paper good supplies, and the Primo brand water system, We were too busy so we did not use the hot tub. It rained a lot the week we were there, so we were thankful to have the use of the garage. This was the best rental we have ever rented from so far. We were very pleased we rented it. Our daughter liked the 2 bedrooms downstairs for her family.

The property and surrounding area is absolutely stunning. Our trip consisted of enjoying the gorgeous mountain weather on a different hike or two with the dogs each day. This was more than enough space for us (no complaints!). The design of the outdoor space and the interior layout is well thought-out. You have ample elbow room that makes for modern usage, but the details in both the interior and exterior design give the property a cozy, private, personal feel. It was clean and welcoming. We found the furniture to be very comfortable. We did not lack for anything. Every kitchen appliance you could ever need was provided. Check-in was extremely easy. Communication with the owner was always clear, friendly and helpful. As we had the pups with us, it was nice to be able to access a vacuum or cleaning supplies for dirt tracked in. Most rentals keep that stuff under lock and key. Carmen and Juan made us feel completely taken care of and are very generous with sharing the amenities of their beautiful property. Acorn’s Retreat in a word is delightful!This home was really above and beyond our expectations. Although it looks nice in the pictures, they can’t possibly convey how beautiful this home really is. The house itself is wonderful, especially the kitchen, which is very large and completely equipped with everything you could possibly need. The main shower is even bigger and nicer than it looks. It was perfect for our adult son with special needs who needs our assistance with showering. Also, the cleanliness was the best we’ve encountered in a vacation rental. It really shows how much Juan and Carmen care about their guests. The view which is stunning surpasses what we expected from the photos. The wildlife also went way beyond what we were anticipating.I don’t know if we were just lucky but we were literally greeted by deer upon arrival and had several deer in the yard every single day for a week. While I only caught a glimpse of a white squirrel once on the property, we saw them in the neighborhood as we came and went.The area is amazing also, we loved downtown Brevard and also Hendersonville. The hikes and waterfalls (including one right in the neighborhood, that the hosts thoughtfully provided directions to) were so beautiful. We only get a week of vacation each year, so we generally try a new place each time, but I’ll be surprised if we don’t come back to Acorn’s Retreat next year.

We would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for a piece of peace.
