By far, the best quality of these apartments is the location: close to the train-station, the town center, a large supermarket and access to cycle paths. Also, Westerland is the perfect base for exploring Sylt, being half way between the northern and southern extremities of the island. The apartment where we stayed (Whg. 1) is part of a villa that was converted to holiday accommodation. The kitchen is rather cramped, though it is furnished with top-notch equipment. All other amenities are perfectly adequate; the bed is okay. Sound insulation between apartments could be better (and maybe should be, given the price point). We could clearly hear the upstairs neighbors walking around — this could become a real issue if you’re planning on sleeping until late and your neighbors are early-birds with kids running around the place at 8AM). Would recommend to friends but not as a first choice. I would stay again, especially if the upstairs apartment is available.
