Walk to beach, lushious views, new, equiped, safe, affordable luxuries

Overall this is a nice condo. The beds are very comfortable. Should have a few new pillows. It was adequately equipped in the kitchen. However it desperately needs new dining room chairs and a new living room sofa. We loved sitting out on the balcony in the morning having our coffee. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. Luis the property manager was outstanding and a great help. The complex needs a gas grill. We liked to do our own cooking and there was no BBQ. All in all we had a wonderful time in Samara.*

We had a very pleasant stay in this very well managed condo, just a few meters from Carrillo and Samara beaches. Very comfortable, all amenities are modern. The owners are flexible and reliable people. Lori-Ann took care of many details for us and answered all our questions as it was our first stay in Costa Rica. I highly recommend this place for vacation.

We enjoyed our stay in this area. We were able to check in early, & were thankful for the flexibility & responsiveness of the owner. The refrigerator & the wifi were not working when we arrived, but after speaking to the property manager these issues were resolved. A new fridge was delivered the following day & we were able to use a neighbor's wifi, which was important for work purposes while we were here. Sadly, the furniture in the condo is tired: the seats of the dining table chairs are lacking supportive foam so that the frame eventually cuts off circulation in your legs. The other chairs in the living room are better but the fabric is worn & fraying. The sheets on the beds are piling severely. The pillow I used was lumpy. Upon arrival, the dust on the stove & the cobwebs on the kitchen cabinets & in the corners of the rooms/behind the doors made it feel like no one had stayed here for a while. After wiping down the surfaces & sweeping, it felt much better. The floor planks in one of the bedrooms are coming apart, so the room looks like it still needs to be finished. The air conditioning was working in all rooms & was very appreciated. The washing machine/dryer in the unit is very useful as well. Bring your own laundry soap. Although the physical condition of the condo was not as good as expected, it served us well as a home base for exploring this stretch of coastline. Thankfully we had a car for our adventures, so getting to Playa Carillo was easier than walking. Yes, it is technically walking distance, but trekking along the highway in the heat & humidity for about 20mins is not "steps from the beach." The other option for walking to the beach is less time on the highway & then on the unpaved road to the South end of playa Samara--possibly 15mins with slower children in tow. We drove to Playa Barrigona, Camaronal, & Islita. If you have a car I highly recommend these beaches. The pool at this condo is well maintained & very refreshing. As other reviewers mentioned, the property is safe, & being next to the green belt is wonderful. We heard howler monkeys, frogs, saw iguanas & coati. The balcony of this 3rd floor unit is a wonderful feature. The star gazing at night & early morning is phenomenal.
