Welcome to Downeast Retreat, your perfect sound-front escape nestled in the heart of Down East Beaufort. This beautifully appointed coastal home offers the ideal blend of comfort, style, and waterfront serenity, making it the perfect destination for families and groups and their four-legged companions seeking a relaxing getaway.
Featuring four spacious bedrooms and three full bathrooms, Downeast Retreat is thoughtfully designed to accommodate your entire group with ease. The primary suite serves as a private sanctuary, complete with a plush king bed and a luxurious ensuite bathroom featuring both a soaking tub and a walk-in shower—perfect for unwinding after a day on the water.
The kitchen is outfitted with sleek stainless-steel appliances and ample counter space. It flows into the dining and living areas, creating a bright and inviting space for gathering, entertaining, or simply enjoying the stunning sound views through large windows that fill the home with natural light.
Step outside and experience true coastal living. The private dock offers direct access to the sound, where you can spend your days kayaking, fishing, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee with a waterfront sunrise or winding down with evening breezes, the outdoor space is sure to be a highlight of your stay.

BED CONFIGURATIONS:
1 King Bed, 1 Queen Bed, 1 Double Bed, and 2 Twin Beds
WHAT IS PROVIDED:
Spectrum Rental Properties will provide sheets and bath towels. Beach towels and equipment is not provided. If you would like information on beach equipment rentals, we are more than happy to provide you with a list. Properties will be provided with a starter kit in each full bathroom and kitchen. Each kitchen starter kit will contain a small bottle of dish soap, two dishwasher pods, sponge, and two fragrance free laundry pods. The kitchen will also have one extra trash bag
Each bathroom starter kit will contain a travel size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, makeup wipe, and body bar.
Spectrum Rental Properties is unfortunately not able to provide additional boxes/bags. This is a starter kit; anything additional will be guests responsibility to provide.
PET POLICY:
Dogs are allowed with a $200 + tax non refundable pet fee per dog, with a 3 dog maximum.
Airbnb guests: This fee is NOT included in your final price. Please notify Spectrum Properties once your booking has been confirmed to add this pet fee(s).
VRBO guests: Guests can only add one dog to the reservation. If you are planning to bring more than one dog, please notify Spectrum Properties to add the additional pet fee(s).
Failure to let us know about your pet(s) could result in a $700 fine.

-Fireplace is for decoration only
-Closest public boat ramp is Harkers Island
-Can kayak and fish at property- may be too shallow to swim

Overall fantastic stay. We spent each morning enjoying the sunrise on the deck and watching and listening for birds. The house was clean and well furnished, with plenty of space for a large family! We took advantage of the water front access and proximity to Harkers Island as we are avid kayakers. While the house is a bit outside of town, the peace and quiet can’t be beat. We look forward to staying here again!

Very beautiful and comfortable home but didn’t realize how remote it was 30 minutes from anything 😬and when the wind is blowing the internet and Wi-Fi is out 😞 the 4 days we were there it was out for 2 and we couldn’t do any work 😞 they should put on their listing how remote they are and how far they are from a beach 😞
