Escape to the heart of "Pure Michigan" at our cozy 2-bedroom cabin on the crystal-clear, sandy shores of Bass Lake. Whether you’re here to watch the sun sink below the horizon from your private dock or explore the vibrant streets of nearby Traverse City, this is your perfect Up North home base.
The Space
Our cabin is designed for family memories. With a west-facing view, you’ll have a front-row seat to spectacular sunsets and starry nights right from the campfire.
Primary Bedroom: Comfortable Full-size bed.
Second Bedroom: Built-in twin bunks (perfect for kids!).
Kitchen: Fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the essentials to whip up a family feast.
Connectivity: High-speed broadband Wi-Fi and cable TV—perfect for remote work or a movie night after a day on the water.
Lake Life & Outdoor Fun
Bass Lake is a unique, sandy-bottom, all-sport lake. Your stay includes:
Private Dock: Ideal for morning coffee and evening sunsets!
Water Toys: Two kayaks included!
Classic Campfire: Private fire pit, charcoal grill, and picnic table overlooking the water.
Prime Northern Michigan Location
You’re tucked away in nature but close to everything:
Interlochen Center for the Arts: Just 5 miles away (perfect for visiting families!).
Traverse City: Only 20 miles to world-class dining, shopping, and festivals.
Adventure Awaits: Easy day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan beaches, and the renowned Leelanau Peninsula wine country.

Large Groups: The cabin shares the property with our main home. If you have a larger group, message us about booking both spaces!
On-Site Support: A property manager lives next door to ensure your stay is seamless.
Seasonal Info: The dock and kayaks are put away for the winter though we are happy to try and accommodate off-season requests if weather permits.
The pole barn on the far end of the property has a security camera facing towards the front of the cabin for security purposes. The lodge next door has outdoor security cameras on the garage and front porch doorbell.

Very cute place, perfect for my two kids, me and my husband. Clean and comfortable. Pictures are not updated on the VRBO listing but the place was better than the pictures! The bunk room can get a little warm so I would recommend a fan be provided or installed in that room. Also maybe a light over the table as it is quite dark in the evening to play games. Overall my family loved it and are planning to go back next year.

we weren't in the cabin much but the interior was lovely and the dock & lake were quite relaxing. Really enjoyed paddling the kayaks around the lake.

Very nice place. Great dock and personal beach. Lake does not have many houses so it feels private. Enjoyed the loons every evening! Bedrooms are small.
