Everything exceptional!

Everything was exceptional, we booked not long in advance and were really surprised with the quality-price ratio. The location is perfect, in the heart of the old town, room is clean and equipped with everyone one could possibly need and last but not least, the host Giuliano has been extremely nice, responsive and helpful with us. I wish every experience and every host were like this :)

Cosy apartement in the heart of the old town

Our host was friendly and very helpful. They provided us with full instructions on how to reach the apartment and do self check in. The apartment is located in the heart of the old town, very close to the church at the top. It has good air conditioning.

It is quite the walk uphill to reach the apartment, plus there are stairs inside the building (as per pictures), therefore this is not suitable for people with limited motility or who need easy access. The apartment doesn't have a wardrobe, just a rail with some hangers.

Kitsch quiet place, jarring interior design & a touch of Royston Vasey

This studio is located close to the St Euphemia church on a very quiet street. The home itself is very, very quiet. I was aware there were other studios/ rooms and perhaps the owners live on site, but I never saw anybody. Therefore, if peace and quiet is what you're looking for then this is the place for you. The owners/ caretakers were kind enough to supply an iron and ironing board. The view out of the windows is over rural gardens of people who live and work in Rovinj, so you get an unexpected snap-shot of life in Rovinj from perhaps 20 or 30 years ago. You can see some of the port/ sea whilst sitting at the breakfast table. Upon entry, there is a lovely court yard with olive trees as you enter the compound. If you're into the "energy of a space", then Studio Isabel will tick your box. Would better suit a couple or solo male.

This is a unintentionally kitsch and perhaps "ski chalet" interior including a mis-mash of cheap china and glass personal objects some of which presented on doilies as if a loved grand patent had just left the Studio. The modern style white leatherette table/chairs/stools/ breakfast top jarred against the dark brown leatherette 1980s style sofa and mock wood kitchen units. There was a strange demarcation of flooring between the kitchenette and bed area. As per the main picture, although the eves are high enough for a person of average height, the combination of light vertical and dark horizontal lines combined with too much exposed brickwork lead to a feeling of being hemmed in. The TV stations and channels were excellent, but set to Italian and no instructions on how to use it. Entry is very dark in the evenings and for some reason the celler door was always slightly ajar with the interior light was off. Therefore, it did feel spooky with dark furniture and lace curtains..A bit "Royston Vasey". Frankly I found myself counting the 4 days down to leave the building without experiencing something "I couldn't explain". This studio, communal foyer and stairway are in need of light design refurbishment and redecoration to freshen it up to date and out of being a personalised family space that a grandparent might just have left.

Hidden Gem in Rovinj

Beautiful apartment right in the middle of the old town. Even though it's right under the roof, it's perfectly cool and very comfortable.

Maybe not the best choice for very tall people!
