This house provided everything I needed to properly entertain my guests: space, comfort, neighboring views and distance to venues. While the house can use some upgrades, it was still capable of fulfilling our immediate requirements. Bottom line: my guests enjoyed themselves, so I enjoyed myself (mic drop).

The view from the deck was beautiful and very peaceful. The house provided lots of room for our extended family to stay together and enjoy all of the great sites to visit around Colorado Springs. One bed in the basement was broken and we did have a misunderstanding about how trash pick up was managed. But the management company was responsive and helpful.

The house location was beautiful. One important detail that was not mentioned anywhere in the property description was the number of steps throughout the house leading to the rooms. We were traveling with four elderly people, and I had mentioned in our booking that 4 of our group of 6 were elderly.Unfortunately, the layout of the house created a significant safety hazard. There was an unexpected step outside the dining room leading to the guest rooms, and three of our elderly guests fell because of it. This step would blend in to the carpet and the lighting in the area was not adequate, especially at night. One guest twisted her ankle. Two others bruised their knees. This information should have been clearly disclosed in the listing so guests can determine whether the property is suitable for their needs. It was fine for my wife and I. But many steps up stairs and down stairs to rooms from the main level was not expected. Also, the couch cushions were very old which made it very difficult to get out of the couch once seated as you would sink in. So that left our guests to sit on kitchen table chairs.We have photos of the injured guests that I could send you.
