About this cottage rental

The Coach House Cottage is open plan, split-level and generously proportioned. The adjacent Stables Cottage will easily accommodate a further 4 guests.

Our standards are high, each cottage provides the same first class self-catering accommodation all on ground level. Each cottage is furnished and equipped to the highest standard to provide a relaxing holiday environment in a tranquil rural location, yet less than a mile from the sea.

Maybe you're planning a romantic break or simply taking some time out for a well earned bit of peace and quiet.

Whatever your requirements, short break or long term stay at all times of the year, we hope either of our cottages The Stables (sleeps 4) or The Coach House (sleeps 2) can provide what you're looking for.

A well-behaved dog is welcome subject to prior arrangement.

Built around a private gravelled courtyard within the lightly wooded grounds of a fine Grade B Listed Regency Buchan former Manse dating circa.1828 the former stables and coach house have been sympathetically converted to provide two spacious and tastefully appointed self catering holiday cottages.

Each cottage is double glazed, centrally heated, and complemented in the main sitting room with a glass fronted feature cast iron multi-fuel stove.

In the main bedroom you have the choice of two single beds or a 6ft wide super-king.

All accommodation is ground level.

** FREE WiFi ** included in both cottages.

Come and stay in this beautiful area of Scotland and be prepared to be enchanted by the rolling countryside, explore local deserted wave washed beaches and enjoy the hospitality of local towns and villages like Pennan, Crovie, Portsoy and Gardenstown.

Whilst spending time at Gamrie Lodge the area provides a multitude of activities including golf, riding, fishing, cycling and walking.

For those looking for less energetic experiences, why not explore the plentiful supply of dramatic ruins and historic buildings or seek out the many other idyllic places to slow down, rest, and take it easy with a book, sketch pad or easel.

Simply loved our stay at Gamrie Lodge, it was a world away from our city lifestyle and felt like we were Lords of the Manor. The walled garden, rural lanes and wood burner set the scene for a wonderful week in a most delightfully modern cottage.

Me and my partner regularly stay in little holiday homes when we are both home - to spend time together as we both work away at sea. This cottage was the BEST, most homely and cosy cottage we have ever stayed in. The cottage itself is beautiful and well designed. The communication was fantastic, and the hosts were always so lovely. The cottage had everything we would need and more with an amazing wood burning stove that we used every night. We will definitely be back to stay in the future!

Fabulous as always. This is our third stay in this beautiful property and it won’t be our last.

I stayed at the Coach House in April/May for a week, and really loved my stay there. It is a cozy little cottage - compact, but with everything you need during the holiday. It's the perfect base to explore the Aberdeenshire coast - I went from Fraserburgh in the east, to Fochabers (Gordon Castle Garden) in the west - and all the little harbour villages inbetween. Apart from the well known Pennan and Crovie villages, I really liked Portsoy. I was welcomed by Diane, the housekeeper, who showed me around the cottage, which was absolutely clean and well prepared - and has everything you need for your holiday. Not just a "practical" holiday cottage, but a real home with lots of character, interesting pieces decoration and a "welcome dram" of whisky. There were some technical issues - power failure after a day of rain and the heating played up one day - but Diane and Kevin (one of the owners) were there within minutes to solve it. The cottage is set in a quiet, rural area, but you can wander through the big garden of the main house, the coast is only minutes away, and Banff (the next bigger town) about 15min. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to discover Aberdeenshire!

We spent a full week at Gamrie Lodge, touring around the country. Very beautiful spots and plenty of harbours to visit. NTS castles as well. Gamrie Lodge is perfectly equipped, very warm and cosy. Definitely recommanded!

If you want a cosy, comfortable, immaculately clean, beautiful cottage with your own private courtyard then this is the place for you. It has everything you want and need. The hosts were friendly and helpful and made both us and our 2 dogs very welcome. There is plenty to do and see in the area. Do NOT give this a miss, you wont regret it. 1000/10!

Property is in a rural location, between the grain fields and has a walled garden. Nearby a beautiful coastline with a lot of different birds. Nice small villages, in Banff a very good boutcher.
