About this house rental
Gorgeous 5 bedroom 3 1/2 bath home within walking distance of all of the hot spots in Gulf Shores! Fabulous Heated Saltwater Pool built in 2020 for year-around use! Two blocks from the Hang Out, the souvenir shops and public beach access! This home has everything you need to make memories at the beach! The three upper level bedrooms all have King size beds. The main level has a bedroom with a queen size bed and a kids bedroom with a bunk bed with a full on bottom and twin on top. There are five smart TV's in the house with access to Netflix so everyone can watch together or escape for some alone time! Of course there's free wifi too! The fully equipped kitchen is ready to go if you're in to making meals at home instead of eating out. There are enough dishes/glasses/silverware/etc. for 16. There is a dishwasher. The dining table seats 6 and there are three barstools. There is also a table/desk in the foyer that folds out for additional seating if needed. This is a raised beach style home. There are 18 steps to get up to the main level. From the main level there are additional stairs leading up to the upper level bedrooms. There is a full size washer and dryer upstairs in the hallway closet. They are stacked but full size. The bathrooms are as follows: a half bath in the hallway off the front foyer, a full bath off the bedrooms on the main level, a full bath upstairs in the hallway, and a full bath with both a large jetted tub and a separate shower off the master bedroom. The house has large decks on all levels and sliding patio doors in every room of the house. The rooms in the front of the house have canal views and the rooms at the back of the house face the ocean. The ocean is a couple of blocks away but there is an ocean view from the master bedroom deck and the other bedroom deck adjacent to the master. There is a large, well stocked Dollar General at the end of the street with inexpensive beach toys and other necessity items as well as a decent food section. There is a family mini-golf barely a half a block from the house. Waterville is less than a mile away. You can easily walk to a dozen restaurants within two blocks. A very nice Publix grocery store and a neighborhood Walmart is just a few miles away. Instacart is amazing and Publix does a fantastic job of home delivery! This is a terrific place for a friends or family gathering!

Beautiful home in a great location. Easy walk to beach and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this home for a large group. All the beds were comfortable! We really enjoyed the private pool.

Very nice and super close to everything. The only down was in the master bathroom the toilet handle was sitting on the back of the commode. Was not a big deal for us cause there was another bathroom available on the floor

It was a nice house. It was clean. We were told there would be starter supplies for shampoo, toilet paper, soap, etc but that was not the case. Dollar General was close and it was an easy fix. Great porches on the house but only 3 chairs for for 4 decks so 3 decks had no furniture and were unable to use them at all. Pool was terrific and several pool items to play with. We added to the collection while we were there. I had contacted Janet to find out the house location for golf carts but she did not respond to me. VRBO finally gave me the house address and I didn't find out until the day before we were supposed to check in that golf carts are not allowed in that area.

The house was nice and clean and we loved the new pool. No view of the Gulf as the home sits 3 streets off of the water. Great air conditioning upstairs and downstairs.
Although the home sleeps 13, we indicated that we would have 7 adults staying…and there were 7 sets of towels. Although the house was clean, there was only one roll of paper towels for our 3-night stay, no dish-washing soap or cleaning products and only 1 trash bag other than the one in the trashcan. Since we were cooking in every day/night to quarantine together, the trashcan filled up quickly. No cable or satellite TV but the digital antenna was sufficient. We brought Fire Stick to watch TV and play games. The wifi was sufficient most of the time but found times when it didn’t have capacity for the Fire Stick and other digital devices at the same time.
One of the curtain rods above the back door was not secured so it kept falling and eventually one of the finials broke. It wasn’t a real issue at first since the construction people were building the back stairs Thursday, Friday and Saturday during our stay. We knew ahead of time that they had just finished the pool however we didn’t know until the last minute that there were no back stairs and they were going to need to get those put in asap while we were there. Also, we were not aware that the pool was not fenced in. It is a private pool…but there is no privacy.
