Lovely stay in quiet cabin

Large and peaceful cabin in rural setting. Exceptionally clean. Really comfy beds and lovely nights sky from the hot tub. Log burner is an added bonus.

Would be good to have some sachets of tea and coffee and some milk in the fridge. Also there are logs available to buy but we felt £6 was a little expensive for them. Also owners please make sure there are always fire lighters available as there was none and we had to go out and buy some.

Beautiful lodge in a stunning location

The lodge was a home from home. Clean, light and airy. The log burner and hot tub were excellent additional facilities that we all enjoyed. We cannot fault the lodge in anyway it was amazing we were all very impressed. The site is remote with beautiful countryside views and right next to the river. Its very peaceful, private and relaxing. Exactly what we wanted as a group of friends celebrating a 50th birthday. We will definitely be returning in the future and will be recommending to other friends and family.

There was nothing we didnt like at all. However, just for a bit of feedback and for future reference, the inclement weather at the weekend (snow and ice) meant the entrance to the site was treacherous. My vehicle instantly slipped on the ice and then was stuck in the icy snow. I was hopeful by the the sunday morning it would have started to melt but unfortunately it didnt. It took 90 minutes for us to push my vehicle off site and on to the lane using our blankets for the wheels and hot water to try and melt the ice. It was quite stressful and we are bruised from slipping over. Not the end to our mini break that we would have wanted. I appreciate this sort of weather doesn't happen often. However if its forecast and there are guests due to arrive the entrance to the site should be gritted for safety. A grit bin on site would also have been useful to help move my stuck car.

Great service, lovely Lodge and great facilities

The peaceful beautiful location, the accommodation itself is brilliant and well equipped in the kitchen etc, the hot tub was fully ready and clean, it was a very pleasant stay

The grouting in the shower needs some tlc as by comparison to the rest of the property that stands out a mile and a hand rail for getting in and out of the hot tub would be great for the older guest, booking.com gave the wrong key code but it was soon sorted as the host answered immediately and gave us the correct one

Lovely quiet and peaceful location set in beautiful scenery. The lodge was lovely and comfortable. There was a pub within walking distance for our evening meal (fish & chip night).

The location was excellent for a peaceful private stay. The lodge interior was very good, big and roomy with comfortable beds. Lodge was located at the bottom of the park in a private area overlooking the river.

We thought the exterior of the lodge and decking needed some TLC.

Perfect peaceful lodge in beautiful location, a real home from home.

Stunning property in the best location very private and beautiful inside and outside. Everything we needed was there the bedding and towels were lovely quality, it really felt like a home from home and I can’t wait to book again. Communication with the manager via message was excellent they responded so swiftly to all questions even when after 6pm which I was amazed at, always very helpful. I really highly reccomend booking.

A very peaceful break with family.

Location was outstanding. Overlooking the Shropshire Hills and hearing and seeing lots of different birds brought great joy to us all. The hot tub was used and enjoyed each day of our visit.

Nothing really but it could have been a little cleaner. It was only things like dusty skirting boards and splashes on the kitchen walls. We stayed here nearly 4 years ago and things are beginning to need maintenance. The decking particularly needs attention.

Peaceful place to stay

Code sent in advance , have been before and so knew what to expect - it’s spacious with comfortable beds , very peaceful with amazing views - hot tub if you want to use it , good WiFi and well appointed kitchen - get to see lots of birds and nice little suntrap . Would recommend the pub, The Hundred House for good , really good Sunday lunch deal of 3 courses and The Clive for afternoon teas

Could do with a little TLC especially the decking and hand rail up to front door, freezer had food left in from previous guests

Wonderful, relaxing location!

The lodge is so private with an outstanding outlook. The size of the property exceeded our expectation. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub- even in the rain! It was such a relaxing environment and we enjoyed ambling around the local area.

The shower head was not good and seemed to be broken. The pressure was weak as most the water seemed to leak out at the connection point between the shower head and the hose. Other than that, there was an issue with the dishwasher on the morning we left as it backed up with water, but I have no doubt the owners will have remedied that in advance of the next people's stay!

Excellent location and facilities. Great time off the clock

Location was perfect. So peaceful didn’t want to leave. Missed out on dinner Friday night as we went to crown thinking we would eat there. We walked down so could have a drink had a couple of drinks then were told fully booked. Couldn’t go anywhere else as had a drink. Tried to get food delivered no joy so had toast. Nothing to do with lodge or hosts just one of those things didn’t realise dinner at crown is booking only.

Beautiful lodge with stunning views. Very clean and the hot tub was fab. We booked this lodge last minute and it’s one of the best lodges we have stayed in. We would definitely return.
