This home is perfect besides the owners taking our money outside of the Vrbo app and did not refund it back when we did not want to the extra night’s stay. I understand that times are hard, but no one should feel comfortable stealing from people who genuinely paid a great price to stay at the location.

The property is a beautiful and Nice home but not at all what we expected due to the fact that it is not a 6 room bedroom, but really a 5 room bedroom. If I would have known this, I would not have booked it. The very tiny room that appears with 1 bed in the roof is really INSIDE the masters room. On the other hand, the house had many Maintenance issues as: 1) Elevator didn't work, and the house has 5 floors 2) The ceiling of the main room had so much dust and dirt you could see it. 3) The majority of the Locks of the House didn't work 4) The garage was not available for our cars. 5) The heaters in the Grill area didn't work 6) The ping pong table was completely broken Two more inconveniences, the house is extremely complex to control in terms of temperature, the heat was suffocating we had to open the windows and the grill is one floor below the kitchen, so it is big inconvenient if you are used to cook. We payed a lot of money for 7 nights and this is not something you would expect for a home this price and size. mostly, the fact that we didn't have the 6th room available was a big thing for us since we had to re arrange the rooms and that was a big thing for us since we were 3 different families. I Would never stay here again or recommend it.

I knew I was in trouble from the start when they said they were doubling the security deposit because I said we MIGHT be 12 ppl instead of the 10 ppl I confirmed on the reservation (the vrbo description says sleeps up to 15 ppl), and/or have TWO local friends over for a game of pool. I was able to avoid the additional deposit, but things continued to trend in the wrong direction as we warned multiple times about the various ways we could lose our security deposit, which included wearing shoes in the house, leaving the cover off the hot tub, getting a car stuck in the driveway, and damaging the window blinds. There were additional warnings and it was very clear we were to be walking on egg shells the entire time. Just a total bum out before we even got there, especially given what we were paying. Sure enough, after an incident free stay, the owner David withheld one third from my security deposit claiming we damaged one of the window blinds, even though we were on HIGH alert having been specifically warned about them because the party before us damaged other blinds in the house. I can't include the exact amount due to vrbo posting guidelines but it's ridiculous, and also obvious to me the previous group caused the damage. I was sent photos of the damaged remote controlled blind showing that it was 2" off the one next to it when raised, but it was completely negligible to the untrained eye and not something anyone would have ever flagged. The one guy who stayed in the room swears he only used the remote and never touched it. Seriously I don't know why people like this rent their homes out, and if you are going to rent your home, don't have blinds that cost thousands of dollars and break when you touch them. Also don't bother purchasing the $99 insurance policy. Even though I elected the option, and my vrbo receipt said I purchased it, they denied ever charging me for the policy and they and the third party insurance company Generali went around and around pointing fingers at each other and denying responsibility. At a certain point, you just give up.

Everything about the house is great. It is close to town, it has beautiful views, it is wonderfully appointed, and the owner is easy to communicate with. Our group has rented several houses such as this one in the past, but this one is the best!
