Corte Del Carmine

Location is fantastic, right in the middle of the old city (Bari Vecchia). The old city is so beautiful and so many locals still live there which gives the place a homely feel - we loved coming home in the evenings to nod and say hello to the older ladies who gathered outside the apartment in the little square. Our host Fabrizio was extremely helpful and always so positive - he responded very quickly to any questions we had and we were very impressed with him! The fridge was fully stocked with everything we needed for a snack and there was also plenty of tea/coffee and drinks included. The upstairs terrace was a lovely way to start the day with a coffee or indeed begin the evening with a glass of wine! One thing to be aware of is that its a tall apartment over 3 floors (including the terrace) and as its a very old building its tall rather than wide so the two staircases are a little steep but once we got used to them it was perfectly fine and perfectly safe, in our opinion. Overall I would totally recommend this apartment for an authentic stay in Bari Vecchia!

The location was amazing, right in the centre of the old town - although it took us a while to find it the first time! And despite being in the centre it was very quiet. Loved the roof-top terrace. Fabrizio was very helpful, recommending a car park, and ordering us a taxi when we needed one.

The paddle stairs could be slightly tricky to negotiate - I think this should be emphasised in the description so people know what to expect.

It’s peaceful yet alive with the authentic hum of Bari’s morning bustle, a reminder that you’re in the middle of somewhere special. Fabrizio was an exceptional host — warm, responsive, and incredibly accommodating. He was always just a message away, replying within minutes on WhatsApp and making everything from check-in to check-out effortless. His flexibility and kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the true soul of Bari — comfort, charm, and hospitality all in one place

The location, cleanliness, wifi was perfect.

Breakfast was priceless, it was very cold on the ground floor, 28 degrees on the gallery. There is very little hot water, two people cannot take a shower.
