Mao Mao surf

As a solo traveller this place is ideal. It’s like being welcomed into the family straight away. The cabins were beautiful and so homely. I booked a package of surf lessons with the drone and it was excellent. I also added on some surf skate sessions with Jack and I would recommend to anyone, I had so much fun!

I personally struggled to sleep on a couple of nights just because of the heat and the lack of A/C. I had 3 fans on but they were just circulating the hot air.

The accommodation is wonderful, it is super aesthetic, it has a wonderful pool with jacuzzi, the staff is wonderful, and the south monitors are the best, especially Joshua and Ryan 🙌🏼

It’s a good surf camp. Breakfast options are great. Staff is amazing. We enjoyed dipping in the pool after a long tiring day. The shower (bamboo faucet) has a heater.

1. The bed was too small for two people, especially given Siargao’s heat and humidity. Without air-conditioning, sleeping comfortably was difficult. 2. The water pressure was weak. 3. At night, we could constantly hear animals or insects scratching inside the walls and roof. It also seemed like termites had already started damaging the wooden roof supports, as we would regularly find wood dust falling onto the toilet every morning. 4. The neighboring hostel was extremely noisy and hosted parties almost every night, which made it hard to rest. 5. The Wi-Fi connection did not reach the room at all. We had to stay outside or in the shared common area just to access the internet, which was especially inconvenient since we rely on stable Wi-Fi for work. 6. There is an awful smell coming from somewhere at night… can be the sewage but it was really bad.
