Thanks for a very enjoyable stay always friendly and amenable

Did’t feel safe at the place. Wasn’t able to lock my room when I left the property.
Felt like I was asked some personal questions.
Has the cheek to ask for a damages deposit when door handles are nearly falling off and and handrails and very wobbly.

Breakfast was good.
Bedrooms were cramped and right at the top of many stairs. It was cluttered and disorganised. Signs to take shoes off in main areas etc. If I could’ve walked away and stayed elsewhere I would have done so.

Didn’t stay, host not there to book in with, phoned her voice mail full couldn’t leave a message. Phoned Booking.con, absolutely no help, told me they would phone back in 45 minutes, failed to do so, didn’t find alternative accommodation, we waited 2 1/2 hours before we went and found alternative accommodation ourselves, will never use Booking.con ever again. I want a full refund.
Nothing to like, or dislike couldn’t book in

Great location in Beaumaris. Friendly host. Comfortable beds. Very much a home stay in Susan’s family home.
Smelt a bit ‘cat’ - very ‘lived in’ and eclectic feel, fine for myself but not to everyone’s taste.

The proprietor was not there and also totally hard to get hold of. Getting the key involved getting a neighbour involved. Cats everywhere. Actually walked out without staying. And the proprietor has refused to give a refund. Unbelievable

I was welcomed to the property and shown round. My room and the bathroom were well equipped and I had unlimited tea and coffee and hot showers. The proprietor was very knowledgeable and advised about car parking, for example. I liked the pets in the property particularly two characterful cats. The location of the property is excellent being near the beach, newsagents , Post Office and food outlets. It is good for touring the area and I could do bird watching such as peregrine falcons and water fowl. Lots of butterflies . Also I saw red squirrels for the first time in decades. Another plus was the proximity to the Coastal Path and the views of Snowdonia. My room had a lovely print of Snowdonia on the wall.
I liked the property, which is a 4 storey historic building opposite the church with a number of rooms of different sizes on each floor with many original features, such as an attractive recessed window in bathroom and large sash windows and a narrow central staircase curving pleasantly and uninterrupted. The property is surprisingly light and airy and ideal for the artist / owner.

Location only
Very strong smell of cats wee as soon as you walked through the door and because we walked out she then tried accusing us of trashing the room we were in the room all of 5 minutes sitting on the bed while looking for somewhere else to stay, when we gave feed back and then called us a scam, it’s advertised as an en-suite but it’s a shared bathroom, bad smell and failed advertised

It’s very quirky and homely, and the friendly host makes a most wonderful breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice selection of teas and coffee. Excellent location near the shops and pubs, castle and seaside.
I find several flights of stairs tricky and the bedroom was on the top floor but that’s not unusual.

Our host Sue was a lovely person who couldn't do enough to accommodate our every need. The breakfast was incredible and the location couldn't have been any nearer to everything that you needed .
I was unable to fault anything.

Did not get the room we booked. There was a mix up. We were given another room and the view was pleasant from here
There was someone else staying at the house who was entertaining and up playing music until past 2.00pm

It was quirky & centrally located

Good, central location.
Had to call the owner and wait for her to come and let us into the room. Fortunately another guest let us in through the front door and we waited in a dreadful 'reception' area with old dusty chairs and art paraphernalia. The owner did not seem to know we were coming and was asking when we had booked the room, but said we could stay as she had a room free. Too right she had a room free as this was the room we had booked. The owner was not welcoming at all and we felt like we were an inconvenience. The decor everywhere was tired, dated and untidy. There were rules about taking shoes off inside, not to use the wardrobe in the room, no milk in the room for tea, and breakfast not available until 9.30. A dreadful experience for a £125 a night room.

This appears to be a Fraud. 24 Church Street Beaumaris was locked when I got there, no one answered he door . the phone number went to voice mail but I was unable to leave a message. I was also unable to contact Booking.com. Other couples were also trying to get into the property. Local informed me that this happened quiet frequently. Can you please refund my money. Should I assume this happens a lot if people book with Booking.com

I stayed there last year and really enjoyed my stay so had to go back. Comfy beds, sitting at breakfast with an open fire you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in the door.

This is a quirky gem of a place with a very warm host, you genuinely felt like you were staying over with family, with a freshly cooked breakfast by the fire in the morning.

Excellent host, brilliant location, beautiful house with lots of history. What’s not to like about this beautiful stunning house.
Morning to dislike about the property.

Host was a scammer, nothing like description on booking .com , had us walking for miles looking for rooms not turning up until I rang her again.,while I was pushing my 84 year old mother.
Walked in to entrance room tripped over all the painting crap and tattered rug.
Basically a shit hole with the stairs to rooms very steep.
Keep away.
Everything she was adamant not to reimburse money and booking .com backed her all the way

I like the place where it was and the and Sue was a good host. The property is located in a stunning location. The property is old 1820 but loving and welcoming

The flat is an eclectic and unusual property but this adds to its charm, the host is an artist and you are entering into a creative space, so if you are expecting a normal holiday affair, or something like a hotel type of setting, it isn't that. Rather, its a human and interesting space, with a quirky but clean and well kept room, generous use of heating, delicious breakfasts in the morning, a private bathroom, interesting conversations. I'd definitely come here again if I was revisiting. The host is also very generous and kind, they offered me several lifts and gave me one to Bangor station when leaving. As the area is very remote, this was a great help seeing as I don't drive. I preface my review emphasising its eclectic nature, as I had read some less than generous reviews but now feel, having stayed here, that those people booked it expecting something different than what it is. This was also the cheapest place to stay around, if you are expecting something excessive and luxurious, this is not that. It's not spas, saunas, room service or something. If you are needing somewhere to stay, for a very reasonable price, to be looked after and treated kindly, to learn about the area from someone who's lived there - this is the place. I personally much prefer that to alien and indifferent staff at generic corporate hotels.
I was personally happy with every aspect of the stay.

Room was spotless as was the bathroom, great location.

The owner is a kind, amazing person who made us a feel very welcome. We got the most delicious cooked breakfast and there was fruit as well as tasty bread and extras. Susan really went above and beyond for us with the breakfast. She even gave my mum a loaf of bread to take away. The lounge was very cozy to relax and we had biscuits and coffees.
The bathrooms and rooms were very clean and cozy!
The description of the rooms on Booking.com could be improved. There are two beds in each budget room and not four. The locks to the bathroom door could be renewed - someone elderly could easily get locked in there. In fact, one of our family member was unable to get out on their own and needed assistance to get out.
The cooked breakfast costs another £5 which is not described on Booking.com.
It would be great if the owner could mention about a cat and dogs living in the house prior to booking, so someone with a cat hair allergy could be aware. The owner rang me to explain this and make arrangements for my dad who was impaired with his walking. On arrival, these arrangements were not met which was a disappointment 😔. This could have been communicated prior to arrival.

There was no one there when we arrived and they didn't answer the phone. We ended up staying at another place. They called us several hours later and said they would cancel our reservation. They didn't. We are paying for a room we never used. They have offered a free night if we come back. As we live in the USA, this is obviously unacceptable.

The owner was lovely.
The accommodation was advertised as a Suite which it was not - it was the second floor of someones house. The owner was lovely and really accommodating, however the accommodation was really dated. The location was the best part. For the price we were expecting much more.

It was quaint and it was like staring in a persons own home.Once you got past the quirkiness and how old the property was,it was ok.Breakfast was cooked fresh.
It was cluttered .We had a double bedroom but the bathroom and toilet were both separate. It was ok because we were the only people staying there. The shower worked but was not great and was cemented into the wall.I hadn’t read in the info that the owner had a cat which roamed around the house and my husband is allergic to cats. I think it was very over priced.we paid £110 for B &B
