Deer Crossing Lodge was roomy and plenty of beds! The kitchen is very well stocked, although it needs more glassware and silverware for a cabin of this size. The house didn't have bugs, etc and was surface level decently clean which was nice, but could use a good deep cleaning. Has a beautiful large front porch with nice rocking chairs. Only approx 8 min from downtown Helen.

Just a couple of suggestions. We were very careful to follow the rule not to put out trash until 10 am as it stated in the information. When checking out we were told we could put out the trash because the new bear cage changed the need to wait. Maybe that could be updated in the information.
We also found there were only 14 forks so maybe more could be added for a group. That's just trivial. We bought some extra plastic forks.
Thank you for persisting in getting help when the fallen tree limb cut electricity to the water supply leaving us without water. You kept at it and we were grateful to have water by evening. Again, we had a great time and highly recommend Deer Crossing Lodge. Sincerely, Duane Laman

The cabin was large enough for our big family however it could have been cleaned better. Things on the floor from previous guests etc. Some people were upset that you cannot lower the temp on thermostat.
