Break-A-Way, Langebaan, 4-sleeper

Loved the location. The cleanliness of the unit inside. The ease of check in and check out. The host was quick to respond and very helpful.

The outdoor braai area wasn’t cleaned. Was very dusty needed a good sweep and wipe down. No access to any streaming, needed own log in details (would add value if it were available). There is an Aircon however the property is advertised without it. Would have been great as it was hot and because the rooms are carpeted it was very hot in the evenings especially. Would not book this in summer, but would gladly come back in winter.

Bit of admin confirming my credit card after paying in Full. Would have liked that to be smoother process.

The property is located in a very quiet location. We had no interruptions and spent a very relaxing weekend at the location.

The location was very good and the house was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated having been able to check out at 4pm only. Check-in was very fast and effective.

Although I do realize that the info prior to booking indicated that no internet was available at the premises, I find this completely unacceptable for this price in 2021. The entire Langebaan Country Estate has installed fibre. Even if the owner did not want to incur this costs, there are at least 4 wireless internet providers in Langebaan that can do an uncapped monthly package for a very low cost. Also, during our stay, the satellite TV was disconnected due to non-payment and this resulted in me having to phone the rental payment to have it reactivated. Comparatively speaking I would rather settle for a cheaper satellite package but at least some internet access. Small other finer touches are also lacking. The was no handsoap supplied in the bathrooms which is a basic hygienic requirement. I find the fact that only 2 bath towels for the duration of the stay was supplied disappointing. This makes it impractical to shower twice a day as you have to wait for the towels to dry. Also, the towels showed signs of aging and were frayed. There were no ice trays in the freezer, only a previously opened (previous guests perhaps?) bag of stale ice.
