NATURAL CONFITAL BEACH

Located on the far upper-right (north east) of the island just north of Playa de las Canteras. We travelled (thank you Google Maps) from airport to Santa Catalina square €4-something per person by bus, then took a €6 taxi the rest of the way = €18 total for 3 people. On our return, we were closer to the airport so we took a taxi but that was €45 so I expect it to be about €55 from airport to apartment. Laura is a fabulous and thoughtful host. She got in touch a week before to welcome us and give some helpful tips. She kept in touch during the day and came to welcome us right on the roadside to walk us over the stone promenade to the apartment, hand us keys, and show us around. The apartment is small, simple, and a little bit shabby, but if you’re not here most of the day, it’s everything you need — it’s clean, tidy, and loved. Very high ceilings; twin beds or super king in large room, and a single bed in the smaller room. It’s just about managing the space well — would suit 3 adults or a small family. Baby highchair provided. Equipped with basic pots, pans, utensils, etc. There’s a fridge though no freezer, microwave, kettle and stove. Big towel, small towel and beach blanket provided per person. Bathroom is small but perfect, and the shower has stable hot water (just need a few minutes to warm up) with fantastic pressure. The mattresses are super comfortable, I had such good sleep — I prefer a firm mattress with just some squidge. There’s a large wardrobe and a chair for each person per bedroom. There’s a lot of helpful information files hanging on the wall including taxi info — it’s an automated taxi booking system via WhatsApp that worked all over the island. Just needed Google Translate at the ready to copy-paste text back and forth to translate. Remember that Sundays most places are closed so be prepared. The flat faces the stone-tiled promenade which faces the sea; you can hear it in the bedrooms and smell the sea inside.

Casetta funzionale, con tutto ciò che occorre! A pochi passi dal mare, zona tranquilla e silenziosa. Host gentile e disponibile.

The location was perfect overlooking the north coast of the city. Easy walk to a the top end of the main beach with its many restaurants and bars.
