Ijen Resort and Villas - The Hidden Paradise

The location (although remote) is amazing! It is secluded and inside the rice fields. The food was decent, and the room was spacious and had a nice balcony.

There was a bad smell in the bathroom (humidity), gaps in the rooftop and zero acoustic insulation between rooms. Also, the mattress was a bit too uncomfortable and possibly too old. A nice renovation can make this place A LOT better!

It is indeed a hidden paradise, the setting could be used as a back drop in a blockbuster movie

Not a single thing

Beautiful surrounds, stunning setting and gardens.

The restaurant was lovely but the food was only satisfactory.

The resort as a whole looks wise is great, rooms where also quite nice, the massage was also very relaxing.

The overall vibe of the resort is very weird. No other guests, (only saw 2 other couples the entire time) also empty restaurant and the pool was freezing so no point coming here for that. Food was poor, I ordered a chicken dish and half of the chicken was freezing like out of the refrigerator cold, also we order a noodle soup dish and asked if they use filtered water and they said it was tap… However there is a great restaurant down the road that doesn’t look flash but it’s amazing food cooked authentically.
