This property is such a lovely gem tucked into the mountain side surrounded by beautiful views of rice fields, volcanoes and forest.
Very peaceful and perfect to slow down. Lovely rooms, friendly and helpful staff. They helped us organize scooters to rent and arrange anything from tours to transportations.
More than dislike, I’d say some areas of improvement could be using the space to potentially offer guests other activities, for example yoga or cooking classes.
Given that the location is quite remote, I’d say keep food and drink prices in check to encourage more consumption at the hotel.

Insane rice padies and views of Ijen. The resort was clean and peaceful. The grounds were well maintained. Food was alright, brekfast options could be improved. Great pool. Transportation arrangements were good and reliable by the resort. We got upgraded to junior suite, and view was spectacular.
Construction work at the pool, not inviting to rest by the pool.

The location (although remote) is amazing! It is secluded and inside the rice fields. The food was decent, and the room was spacious and had a nice balcony.
There was a bad smell in the bathroom (humidity), gaps in the rooftop and zero acoustic insulation between rooms. Also, the mattress was a bit too uncomfortable and possibly too old. A nice renovation can make this place A LOT better!

Beautiful surrounding views and friendly, attentive staff.
Unannounced construction next to the pool was very disruptive to guests. Do not book unless you are absolutely certain of your itinerary and can guarantee no travel disruptions, as the booking policy allows zero flexibility and is strictly enforced. Neither the à la carte nor the buffet breakfast was enjoyable.
