The town of San Mauro Forte is one of Italys prettiest towns and casa Borgo is tucked in the older part but close to the tower and main square. It has basic cooking facilities and fridge. Small outdoor sitting area with table and chairs as well as inside. The town is fun to explore and has everything you need. We were lucky to join a tour of the tower built in the 9th century, there’s also a castle, nunnery, newer homes built on very old foundations. So fascinating and historical.. Located in a beautiful area of Basilicata. People are friendly and nice. A safe and tranquil town in a beautiful spot.
We wish there was more public transportation to this lovely town. A bus does come from Potenza but not often.

The apartment is located in a lovely town on top of a hill, perfect for a stopover when travelling. The place itself is beautiful, extremely clean, on a quiet street and the lady that greeted us was very kind and adjusted to our check-in time. You can park right next to the apartment, but only if you have a reasonably small car, the streets are typicall italian and very narrow. All in all it is a great value for money!
