Sunrise Lagoon Homestay

Me and 4 others stayed in a private room, right on the beach, where you can hear the waves crashing just outside, it was sooo relaxing. Our room was basic but great for the price and had everything we needed for a chilled and authentic experience. The homestay was also very well catered to solo travellers as we ate together for all of our meals and built some great relationships with the other travellers. Food was amazing and super filling, there’s also a shop on the island which was really convenient, and a couple of local places that sell doughnuts and ice cream. Lithe the homestay owner and her family were so warm and friendly. Lithe especially went the extra mile to make sure we had a lovely stay. She gave us a big hug on departure and waved us off, we were all so sad to leave!!

Wonderful family hosts, very filling food

Very basic lodging but great experience overall

The family was very welcoming I loved the evenings when they were playing the ukulele and singing. The dorm is clean I recommend this homestay

Think about bringing a mosquito spray

The property was ok for the price, but it could use some renovations.

Some mattresses were in bad shape and a bit uncomfortable and the windows didn’t protect very well from weather conditions. The food was ok but sometimes lacked some protein.
