Le Petit Fabre

Sehr charmantes Haus inmitten eines Ensembles von landwirtschaftliche Gebäuden. Bereits die Lage unweit der Lavendelfelder nahe der Stadt Montagnac (Plateau du Versole, nahe der Gorge du Verdon) ist ideal, um die ganze Gegend zu erkunden (Gorge du Verdon, Moustiers u.a.). Die Einrichtung unseres großen Zimmers wurde von der Inhaberin Nathalie besonders geschmackvoll und authentisch gestaltet. Wie überhaupt Nathalie eine ganz besonders hilfsbereite Gastgeberin ist. So hat sie uns bei einer unangenehmen Fahrzeugpanne extrem geholfen, uns sogar zu einem Nachbarort gefahren. Insgesamt waren die zwei Tage im Petit Fabre für meine Frau und mich ein Erlebnis und dieses Location unbedingt zu empfehlen. Gerade wenn man auch auf den Trubel in Mouistiers verzichten kann oder möchte.

Nous avons adoré le lieu, très calme, en pleine campagne, magnifique, facile d'accès, très central pour des balades et des visites... L'accueil de la propriétaire est exceptionnel, elle est disponible et nous a conseillé des sites à voir. La literie fabuleuse, le confort général au top, c'est un excellent retour aux sources qui fait du bien ! Le petit déjeuner est copieux et riche, le plateau repas proposé également, avec des mets délicieux et authentiques. Nous reviendrons !

Die Lage, das lecker Frühstück, die liebevolle Einrichtung. Und der Gasgrill im Garten, auf dem wir Abends immer kochten. Schöner Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die wunderschöne Umgebung.

Die Gastgeberin war uns etwas zu geschäftstüchtig: Es gab diverse Schilder für kostenpflichtige Zusatzleistungen (Ei zu Frühstück, Kaffee am Abend, ziemlich teure kalte Platte für den Abends). Die leckere Marmelade war genau portioniert. Das wirkte teilweise etwas kleinlich. Der Bauernhof wirkte teilweise etwas heruntergekommen, wobei unser Zimmer tadellos war.

An absolute hidden gem in the middle of the Provencal countryside – and that’s exactly what makes it so special. The homestay is beautifully maintained and blissfully remote yet perfectly placed – with lavender fields nearby and the Gorges du Verdon and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie just around the corner (about 25-30 minutes by car) – the middle of nowhere, in the very best sense. If you’re looking to truly switch off, this is the place. Our host was wonderfully warm and welcoming, and her homemade food was simply outstanding: The jams, the tart, the tapenade and the aubergine mousse – all handmade, all fantastic. A wholehearted recommendation for anyone craving real peace, nature and authenticity.

No AC, but the smart shuttering kept the rooms pleasantly cool despite the scorching heat.
