Your Home In Madeira III

A spacious apartment with a very good kitchen and bathroom. The owners welcomed us and made us feel at home. We enjoyed eating on the balcony, which faces east, so it gets sunshine in the morning and is not too hot in the evening. We slept well, beds were comfy and it was very quiet inside the building and not very noisy from outside as it is set back from the nearest (small) road. A big Continente supermarket is 1 km away. The apartment is located half-way between Funchal town and Praia Formosa beach. There is a road junction about 100m north of the building that is crossed by at least 4 regular bus routes. This made getting into Funchal fast and convenient. We used two other routes to get near to the start of hiking trails. Also, one levada walk starts at 5 minutes from the apartment. Not tested, this apartment has a parking space if needed (we found the bus system sufficient for one week stay).

The football stadium blocks what would have been a beautiful view over the sea.

This apartment had everything we needed! A well stocked kitchen, washing machine , large balcony to enjoy the sunshine, quiet location within walking distance to supermarkets, eateries, bus stops right out the front - couldn't have asked for more! The hosts were so lovely and answered any questions quickly and were very attentive to our needs.

The only thing I could fault is the fact that there is an office building and low level carpark obstructing a bit of the view from the balcony but the lovely garden in front gives a nice buffer from the street and if you look to another side the view of the hills is gorgeous especially at night!

A double bed would have been better rather than two single bed joined together.
