Casa Ejecutiva Boquete

Everything! The views are unbelievable, huge top floor room with lots of seating options on balcony, large comfy beds, really clean and supplied with everything you could possibly need, friendly hosts that are there for anything you might need but leave you to enjoy your stay. Short drive into town for all the bars restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to go back one day.

The view was outstanding. Waking up in the morning with a view of the mountains through the huge windows was amazing! The view just incomparable! In addition, the windows slide open. We would keep the windows open most of the time in the room. The breeze felt so amazing in the room, and with the wonderful Boquete temperatures, the cool breeze in the room was awesome!

The drain in the shower would drain very slowly and the water would get an inch or two deep while taking a shower. But the water would eventually drain.

The view was great. Our room overlooked most of the town of Boquete, as well as the surrounding hills. Two entire walls were windows, which was good from a view perspective but not if you want to sleep late. See below. The coffee provided in the room was really good, and we had the option of drip or French press. The bed was King Size, but a little soft for our tastes. Overall, the bed was not bad - a very thick memory foam mattress. We prefer to recycle as much as possible, and they provide bins to put cans, plastics and glass in. Parking is close and there was always a spot available for us. Even though there were other guests, we didn't see much of them, so it felt fairly private. Like everyone in Panama, they use WhatsApp once you are checked in to see how you're doing and whether you need anything. I felt the amount of communication was about right. For a small room it was well equipped with a microwave, a small refrigerator and a toaster oven. Also a pot for heating water for tea or the French press coffee. The room did have a modern air conditioner with a remote control. There's also a small (by today's standards) TV that you can cast to via the internet.

Calvin, the owner, greeted us and gave us the room key, but we didn't see or hear from him after that, other than a chance glance. I mentioned the windows above as being great for the views. The curtains were a bit dated and didn't do a great job of keeping out the light once the sun was up, but this is a minor complaint. The bathroom and kitchen were serviceable, but dated and not high quality. The kitchenette counter is wood and around the sink it was moldy. The sheets were a little stained, but freshly washed. My biggest complaint is that the fitted sheet isn't sized for the deep mattress and kept coming loose at the corner by my head. There's a big window up high in the bathroom with nothing covering it. Not a privacy problem, but the bright patio lights that came on automatically lit up the room if the bathroom door was open. We closed the door, but if anyone got up to go in the middle of the night, it the door was very noisy to open and close. The wind blew pretty hard almost the whole time we were there, and the air conditioner drain pipe whacked against the wall outside the window. Probably an easy fix, but it needs to be done.
