was allright for one night
We got the keys via a keybox - so that was easy. The house is very nice, the kitchen is well equiped. The bedrooms are good sized and comfy.
The road is a bit busy for my liking and there was a bit of a damp smell when we walked in - but opening the windows helped

Very good
The host - she was very friendly, we came with additional person and there were no linen, towels etc. for her. We called the host and she brought everything in a fly. She also swapped the greetings wine bottle with the bigger one, nice touch I would say. The size - the apartment is really spacious and will definitely fit for most visitors.
The bathroom(s) - it is impossible to set the desired water temperature, it's either too hot or too cold. We tried hard to adjust the water temperature so that it will be comfortable (moved the mixer to the hot position, then steadily to the cold, or moved the mixer to the cold position, then gently moved the mixer to the hot...) but failed. Nothing helped, one can take a bath only when constantly adjusting the temperature, otherwise you'll either take a cold bath or a bath with boiling water. The WiFi - there is no WiFi on the premises. I would say, for our family it was neutral - neither good nor bad, but for some it could be a real problem, especially considering the fact the mobile coverage at the entire Moselle valley is poor. The check out arrangements - we got two printed pages of what we should do prior to our departure. The most dubious were to hand wash our dishes, to let it dry and then to arrange them in the cupboard (there is a good dishwasher in the kitchen), to collect all the waste we made during the stay, then bring the glassware and the bio degradable waste to the collection station (it is about 800 meters away), put all the rest into separate collection bags and bring it outside. Additionally, we were asked to remove all the linen and to put it next to the washing machine. They also wanted to recalculate our electricity consumption. Now, don't get me wrong, we are experienced travelers doing vacations all over the globe during the last 30 years, usually at least three times a year. Frankly, I don't remember any premises coming with such a bundle of requirements for check out, usually we wash the dishes after our final meal (either with dishwasher or by hand) and leave. We have never had to take our linen away, even during Corona times (this was the excuse of the host as far as I understood), I can tell you even more - usually we won't stay at one apartment but will move from one place to another, just to be able to see more.

Exceptional
Spacious, clean house; we especially appreciated the bike shed, effective heating in the sleeping room/bathroom, calm area and the very nice host.
We would have appreciated having both beds prepared in both rooms instead of one. The access code did not want to work at the beginning but eventually we managed.

Large holiday home
This holiday home is large enough for a family. At ground level there is a very large dining/living room and separate kitchen, while upstairs there is the bathroom, main bedroom, and two other bedrooms. Although it has the basic essentials, since we were just a couple, we rattled around it in a bit, and somehow it seemed to have few of those little welcoming extra details that we have enjoyed on other apartments in this area – there is a coffee maker but no supplied coffee, cookware but no salt or other food items except a complementary pot of homemade jam, wine glasses but no beer glasses, no wardrobe or any place in the main bedroom to lay out the contents of your suitcase (there is one wardrobe in one of the bedrooms), no wifi and the data signal is very weak. The night we stayed, there was also a smoke alarm battery beeping somewhere in the upstairs area marked Private. Otherwise, the area is quiet with a peaceful country outlook (the house is near the top of the hill) with just the rush of an occasional vehicle passing over the cobbled road outside. We didn't hear any noise from the beer garden across the road. The access code that we had been sent worked perfectly to let us in on our arrival. We felt very secure there, and didn’t bother to lock our bicycles in the offered lock-up shed. Supermarket and bakery are within a couple of kilometres.
