The view from the cottage was beautiful. The owners left lovely welcome treats and they seemed friendly and were just a text message away if I needed something.
The location is lovely and the cottage had everything you needed and was always lovely and warm and had good WiFi.
Few niggly things:
- kettle didn't work when I arrived but quickly changed for one that did by the owner, thank you!
- lights on the top floor didn't work....I didn't need that room as there were 2 bedrooms and I could sleep downstairs but should have been checked.
- downstairs bedroom door didn't click shut, just closed too with a gap. Again fine for me as I was there alone but I prefer a closed bedroom door at night, and it wouldn't have been ideal if I'd been there with others. This particular room didn't feel very loved - no carpet, thin curtain over the large glass door to the outside that only just covered the door, and no wardrobe just a rail....just felt like a bit of a poor relation to the lovely bedroom upstairs.
- TV points in the bedrooms but the only TV was in the lounge and a small one on the wall in the kitchen.

beautiful spot very peaceful and scenery gorgeous. however close to Settle amenities
nothing about the property but I feel that booking. com and Sykes could serve both the owners and guests better. I sent a mail through booking. com on a small query and it took over 24 hours to get a response. this is why I marked down on the staff rating, no reflection on the owner who was great
