Great , cosy little cottage.

Lovely little cottage in a delightful village/small town. Comfortable, clean and well-equipped. Very cosy and within easy reach of the shops, pubs and other facilities. Two good-sized rooms and nice living room too. Very well-equipped kitchen with a few little extras. Good hosts. Reasonable value for money.

Often difficult to park nearby. Not the fault of the owners - There were a couple of potholes right outide the cottage which is on a busy road and the traffic noise, especially from large lorries was annoying, especially, early in the morning.

nice cottage , however

the people who lived above the hair salon next door started arguing swearing and stamping up and down the landing from midnight . also playing loud music until 6.00 am . the traffic outside was horrendous . we left 2 days early because we couldnt do another night there . a real shame because we went to get over an illness i have had . we have stayed in tideswell several times and this has soured it for us .

The best thing about this property is the location. Everything else in the property is great and suitable. Nice little cottage with bunks and the kitchen was great with milk in the fridge a nice touch. The provided towels and shower accessories were great too. Wifi and all communication was good too. Did I mention the friendliness about the location.

Bluetooth stereo would have been good. But this is being fussy.

For location - can’t fault. Expensive stay thou. Got cold in the night and have to use second duvet as they were paper

The property is ideally located for visiting some of the well known spots around the Peak District. Here with uni son for a landscape photography project so location was priority. Street noise expected - cafe next door could hear the sounds of the industrial coffee machine and staff talking loudly as shared wall in lounge. Ideal for walking to local pub and shop, all close by.

Parking - it states no parking but we hoped to park close by but couldn’t so we had to park a walk away and lug bags and luggage in the rain - not being able to look out on your vehicle or see it from the property wasn’t ideal. Also due to rain we gave up late afternoon for a night in - couldn’t get comfy - the conservatory style chairs were painful to sit in - bar dug deep into the back of the knees. It’s basic furniture not comfy or relaxing.

A bit disappointing all round. Owners need to go and visit property and declutter

self catering so no breakfast. Key lock outside was very difficult to open. Thought we were never going to get in. Good central location.

The house could have been great? However, kitchen floor was sticky and dirty. all cupboards in the house were full and could do with a good tidy up and declutter. Box with leaflets in going back to 2015! The radiator in the bathroom was filthy. Towels were damp and smelt. We actually left a day early.

Shower kept going cold even when there was no other taps running. it also takes quite a while to drain away.

Good location in a lovely town with nice shops and eating places. Cosy cottage with well equipped kitchen. Books and games available.

Traffic noise was terrible inside the cottage as on a busy road. Toilet cistern fills ridiculously slowly and shower not great.
