The apartment is in a good location, there is free parking close by. It was nice and cool in the apartment without any fans or air conditioning. We really liked Rio Marina and loved Elba.

My whole experience of the apartment is influenced by the disappointment of not having a terrace when my booking confirmation stated that I had an apartment with a terrace. The listing for the property had not been set up correctly there was no clarity about what applied to each apartment and showed pictures of both the apartments under one listing. So on arrival I felt like I was not getting what I had paid for. I think that Roberta adjusted the listing after I complained as my booking confirmation changed the day after arriving. It would be useful to include the name of the building and the number so that it can be easily located, we were looking for Gioiellino but the building is called El Passo. Bedding linen and towels were extra which is the only reason that I am commenting on them. Everything was clean but everything was old and tatty, mismatched and smelt musty. It was disappointing not to be given any hand soap in the bathroom, not even a small bar. The lack of any sort of welcome pack or basic condiments in the kitchen was also disappointing. The listing stated that a bottle of water was included we did not get one. The listing also said that there was a safe and the apartment does not have one. The bathroom was quiet nice but the shower was most unpleasant to use. It is very small plus the shower curtain halved the space when it was drawn. The shower curtain did not keep the water inside the tray and it clung to you when using the shower.
