About this apartment rental
Total relaxation like no other. Fall in love with Tiara Sands with this beautiful 2 bd 1 bath beach condo overlooking the ocean with extended balconies to enjoy the most amazing sunsets ever seen. The unit has the latest and most modern appliances. Comfortable beds that sleep 5 brand new stainless fridge beautiful granite counter tops kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit and much more.
Tiara Sands is located on the Cerritos Beach area of Mazatlan. The Building is in the shape of the letter U. #310 is smack dab on the SIDE OCEAN on the third floor, it has a very large veranda and a second balcony off of the Master Bedroom. In the middle of Tiara Sands is the courtyard and XL pool and spa tub. Tiara Sands was developed by a Canadian developer and thus the vast majority of home owners are from Canada and the US. Tiara Sands has an excellent FT staff and is a few steps from the bus and taxi stop. Tiara Sands is also very convenient to the new Walmart La' Marina, the Gallerias Mall and Movie theaters. The beach next to us is 5 km long from end to end and offers a beautiful walk on the shoreline. There is also a gymnasium and large pool deck at Tiara Sands. Our condo #310 has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The master has a very comfortable queen bed, walk in closet and features marble bathroom and large shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is in-suite laundry.
The kitchen and dining area are granite, with cedar cabinets and with high-end Stainless GE Monogram appliances. We even have a top end Kitchen aid blender for smoothies. There is also a stereo, WiFi and 46 inch HD flat screen TV. The furnishings are leather, granite and wood.I am certain that you will enjoy your stay at our place. We always have, it is a favorite place to go.
There is a pool and Jacuzzi on the premises and an elevator.
Also, there is a wide ample deck with beach chairs where you can enjoy sunbathing, sounds of the waves and a sense of exclusivity all year round. During the winter and spring, management creates a ramp to have direct access to the beach but during the summer and fall, the ramp is removed because the sand gets inundated with rocks. The only access to the beach would be two blocks down during the summer and fall.

Miguel who helped us with our check in and any questions was great and very helpful. The condo location was beautiful with an awesome ocean view. The condo itself was clean but kitchen could use some bigger pots and frying pans. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be coming back!

The dishwasher didn't work but it wasn't a big deal, we made due. It was missing wash cloths, dish cloths and dish towels. We picked them up at Walmart, not a deal breaker. The place was clean and worked perfectly for us. The neighbors are the best and very helpful. The couch and chairs are not that comfortable Everything else was great.

Beautiful spacious condo. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We asked for a later check out due to our flight time and this request was approved. Great location, right on the beach and lovely view of the ocean.

This review is for the owner's other unit - a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom oceanfront unit. We were offered an upgrade at a modest cost prior to arriving. We later discovered that our booked unit was double-booked which was just as well as the renters there had multiple issues ( dirty, poor WiFi, broken dishwasher etc.).
Our unit was spacious, bright, had great Wifi and cable. The appliances were all in good working order and the furniture was good quality (except for the old rusty chairs and table on the balcony). The unit was dirty and had not been properly cleaned after the owner vacated just before our arrival. The unit was not properly equipped or maintained e.g. one ripped dishtowel (we bought one), plastic glasses only (we bought wine glasses), no placemats (we bought four), broken mop and brooms, kitchen cabinet door hanging on one hinge, baked in blood-stains on sheets, holes in window blinds in primary bedroom, missing blind in second bedroom, mold on kitchen blinds and bathroom sinks. We were bothered by intermittent sewer gas odors in the ensuite bathroom despite using vinegar and baking soda in the drains.
Carlos, the manager, was very responsive and friendly. He brought new sheets, towels and even lent us some baby equipment.
To top it off, there was scaffolding for three weeks and workmen for 2 weeks on the 2 front balconies. The owner, apparently the president of the HOA, had prior knowledge of the work schedule but did not disclose this to us.
