El Valle de Anton La Chachalaca

Amazing place where you can spot a lot of beautiful birds, the view is great. At the end of the afternoon/beginning of the evening we we're on the balcony enjoying nature. Also a lot of good hikes nearby.

Secluded in nature. Very tranquil.

The location was gorgeous up in the hills, surrounded by birds. Great for birdwatching (if you’re into it - we weren’t but now we are :D ) Host was lovely, very helpful and gave us a couple of lifts to and from town when we had our baggage, which was much appreciated,

Only downside was the 20-25 min walk to the shop/edge of the “town” where you were then able to catch a taxi or bus easily. Wouldn’t be an issue if you had a car though!

The rooms were on top of a mountainside so the views were spectacular

Because the property is built on a mountainside the way up is extremely steep. The road is ok but it is so steep that it makes is undesirable to drive up and down. One of the large windows could not be locked but not sure security is that big of an issue. There was a kitchen however the coffee pot needing replacing ( moldy). Because you are up in the vegetation everything was very humid. our room did not seem to have much breeze flow through due to the burm by the side window. I think the place needs some tender loving care and more attention to detail.
