There really is a Manuel and he's mucho hombre. We enjoyed meeting him and our stay at his casa which had everything we needed. We had no car and the walk to downtown Santa Maria was 20-40 minutes depending on our route.

friendly neighbours dog. easy to walk into town. backs onto a coffee plantation. good value.
almost impossible to get the shower hot, VERY cold at night and only a nylon blanket for each bed. dreadful cold led lighting. no outdoor furniture.
