The Burg Schöna stay was really amazing. We got welcomed by the team when we arrived and they showed us around the property that is really lovely. You're going to stay in this amazing building in front of the river Elbe and the Schrammsteine. We got a room with our own toilet but there are also cheaper options in case you're happy to share the bathroom with more guests. You'll also have different rooms to share such as dining rooms, yoga rooms, a sauna a room with a piano and much much more. I highly recommend to stay at the Burg Schöna if you're looking for a place that isn't exactly in a village but a bit outside. Nevertheless you can reach all the locations by car, ferry or bus. Thanks to the whole Burg Schöna team for making our stay incredible. We will definitely be back!

Very friendly host. Great self-provisioning concept = great value for money, as no money goes into never consumed (breakfast) stuff. Nice way to get to know other travelers. Well equipped kitchen. Tons of books to read if the weather is bad, My room had a private bathroom (which not all do). Wonderful location for hiking. Very cheap fuel is available just across the Czech border - definitely worth going there, even if there can be a bit of a queue, since the German locals do the same thing.

The final road to the property is narrow and, while I was there, everything was also being reconstructed. This means that with bad timing/luck some "driving complexities" might result and some time might go into resolving those.
