Annata Beach Hotel

Annata Beach Hotel is a beachfront hotel in Vung Tau. It’s facing the newly developed Back Beach. This was the primary reason I booked this hotel for our 6th wedding anniversary—the view, the beach, and the overall hotel experience. We visited in August 2026 with our friends and stayed for 4 nights. We can say that this hotel is for couples, families, and even groups of friends! The hotel is in the Back Beach area, and there are not a lot of nearby restaurants around. You have to walk around 5–10 minutes to get to the nearest restaurant or convenience store. So, I suggest stocking up on food when you stay at this hotel. The nearest tourist attractions are Back Beach and the stunning Tháp Tam Thắng. When going around Vung Tau, you can either book a Grab car or Grab bike. We booked *** per night, which included buffet breakfast. Depending on when you book, you can get discount vouchers on Agoda for a cheaper stay. We arrived at 12 NN from Ho Chi Minh, and our room was not ready yet. Good thing the hotel has a large lobby with lots of couches and tables for you to rest and relax while waiting for your room. We ordered food from outside and ate it in the hotel lobby. 99% of the staff had very limited to no knowledge of the English language. We had to rely on Google Translate to understand each other. The staff were friendly, though, and always gave you a smile whenever you saw each other. Our room was a suite room with large windows overlooking Back Beach. It was stunning! However, the furniture was a bit old, and the hotel was not spotlessly clean. Our king-sized bed was comfy, but it was not that well-kept. The bathroom had a bathtub, but I only used it once because when I did, the water did not drain! Haha. When you shower, the water keeps splashing outside the bathtub, thus making the whole bathroom wet. They gifted us with a fruit platter for our anniversary. Thank you! I requested a room setup to surprise my wife for our anniversary, but they were not able to do it. Instead, they gave us a fruit platter. Still thankful! The breakfast was buffet-style, with tons of options that almost never changed. They had pho every day. Their rice was too dry for my liking, but I liked the spread of fruits and vegetables. One thing that turned me off was the cleanliness of the buffet equipment. It was not shining clean for stainless steel materials. There were spots and fingerprints. I hope it’s not the same with the food! Haha. The swimming pool, weirdly, is located a 2-minute walk away from the main building. The pool gives you a sense that it’s separate from the property. It’s good, though, since it’s near the beach, so after the beach, you can go straight to the pool! Overall, I would still recommend this hotel for those celebrating something special but who also value affordability. One thing they lack, based on my observations, is manpower. The hotel does not have enough people to maintain and manage everything properly. For instance, when we were about to go to our room, the receptionist was the one who helped us load our luggage onto the trolley instead of a bellboy. I hope they can improve this since they were fully booked at the time of our stay.

The hotel is simply not worth the price. The bathroom facilities are disappointing, with no exhaust fan, resulting in unpleasant odors and a constantly humid bathroom that does not dry or ventilate properly. The overall condition and quality of the bathroom facilities do not match the price of the room. For the amount paid, I expected much better facilities and a more comfortable experience.
