Right location but poor facilities and service

Loud music till 12.30am booked as business trip and were put in a room directly above the bar and speakers. We we're not made aware there would be Loud music on till late and if we had known this we would of asked to be moved to the top floor or possibly wouldn't of booked at all. The hotel side of this place needs a bit of attention , the walls next to the beds where you lay we're grafted they need a clean. That particular room was also very warm even with the window open. It was convenient to get to the racecourse in the morning but not so good working with very little sleep , I believe there needs to be a bit more consideration to your hotel guests staying here for work.

We were told the bar was open till 12 30 but shut at 11 30 , bar manager not very helpful when questioned about it, will not stay again,

They had a band in only told on arrival so it was like sleeping in a nightclub! You can hear everything on the second floor. Sounded great fun but wasn’t what I was expecting.

We enjoyed our stay at the White Hart

Great location, the staff are very friendly great breakfast, we ate there both nights and the food was very good and great value.

They have live bands at weekends which go in until 12.30 and are very loud.

Nice place to stay but avoid Saturday disco nights

Great location. Room was perfectly adequate for a short stay, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water in the shower. The heating can be turned on and off as required. Lovely staff

We expected some noise staying in the city centre above a pub, but the volume of the Saturday night disco was next level, felt like we were in the middle of the party. Should have read the reviews before booking for a Saturday I guess. We were so tired actually managed to sleep through all the noise, but I probably would have booked elsewhere if I knew how loud it was going to be.

Had contacted Marston prior to travelling requesting a room to the rear but didn’t get one. Very noisy and didn’t get much sleep. Would not be staying there again . That’s the second time this has happened.

It cost a £126 to stay in a rabbit size hutch room excluding breakfast!!! The staff where useless if you asked them anything the standard reply was let me get my manager who took ages to come and see you. They stopped serving food at 8pm The music in the bar was so loud especially the base that it made everything in our room vibrate!! It didnt stop until 1am with no one to talk too about so we basically didnt get any sleep. An awful ending to a lovely day.

Room 1 knackered Friday night is a challene

Perfect location, cosy room with comfy bed & hot shower

I requested a quiet room and was allocated room 1 (next to the fire door so everyone passed by) and the kitchen's extractor/cooling system is noisy and outside the window. Reception confirmed they could move us but needed the managers permission. He declined as the kitchen stops cooking at 8pm. What we didn't know would be loud music in the bar which played until 10 past midnight sk no chance of sleep before then. The kitchen noise started again just after 8am. I did sent messages of complaint but, as yet, no one has replied.

Good value overnight stay on way South

We have stayed overnight at the WhiteHart on 4 occasions when on our way to an annual motorbike bike event in Suffolk . The car park offers spacious and safe parking for our large group. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast the next morning is well prepared and plentiful. We didn’t eat in the pub on Thursday evening on this occasion but previously have and meals have always been satisfactory and the hotel usually has good deals on Ideally situated on the high street it is close to many bars and restaurants , shops etc

We were in room 4 and it’s quite noisy from the extractor fan below . This turns off at 8 pm but started up again at 7am We have previously been in room 1 which has the same problem There are 2 floors with accommodation if you have luggage ask for a room on the first floor . No lift

Great location. Right in the heart of town for other restaurants if you don't fancy eating at the White Hart. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was hearty and set me up for the day. A good selection of beer on offer.

The property is tired looking. It needs a bit of love and care with regards to the decor, but this can be remedied easily enough

Horrific experience don’t stay if you want sleep

Good sized car park, room was clean

The noise was unbearable in room and hotel for food could not have conversation, left at 12.30am as the noise was horrific shouldn’t really have rooms as you can’t sleep until the music finished whatever time that is we were on top floor and the lady on reception said it should be ok you won’t hear the dj from there! You could hear it thumping the whole time
