Merci à Thierry pour son accueil ! Hôte très discret. Logement simple. Les extérieurs sont très bien entretenus avec une vue magnifique et la piscine ajoute un gros plus pour profiter encore plus du jardin.

Literie peu confortable.

Beautiful view. Great terrace to sit outside. We were all by ourselves and could enjoy the outside seating. For a cottage the pool is nice and big. Spacious bedroom. Kitchen has oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Note that pool is open from 10-19.

1. Location, location, location. It's in a beautiful region with the most stunning views. The living area and main bedroom look onto the garden and fields - incredibly beautiful. 2. Quiet. The situation is isolated, in a small hamlet, 4km from the nearest village, surrounded by nothing but countryside and very, very quiet country roads. Directly from the house, you can walk for hours on the network of country roads and lanes, avoiding all main roads. Very safe for walking - you can hear any car coming and on most roads you might see only one or two per hour. Take a different route every day if you wish. All you see is gorgeous views with rolling hills, fields, trees, lovely cows (living what, in these days, must qualify as an idyllic life for a cow), hawks and buzzards soaring overhead, the odd farm with chickens and goats lolling about. The perfect quiet country getaway. 3. A pleasant house. This is a fairly basic but well-equipped holiday cottage with a lovely terrace to eat outside, a safely-enclosed swimming pool. Good WIFI, and French and UK TV channels. Only 15-20 minutes' drive to the town of La Souteraine with large supermarkets etc. Several villages closer for bakeries, butcher, groceries, pharmacy, etc. The hosts live on site and are helpful and friendly without intruding on your privacy. 4. R&R. This is perfect for people looking for quiet relaxation and walks, not organized activities. It's ideal for couples looking for peace and quiet and nice walks, either alone or with young children. It's not ideal for people looking for activities, or with kids who'll get bored there. There's not much to do or see in the nearby villages and towns either, apart from the wolf refuge at Guéret (tip: go in the afternoon; they get fed around 4pm. In the morning they're all asleep!) and [more] walks. 5. Remote working. This would be a good spot to work remotely (or write, meditate, do yoga...).

For two people it was fine, but it I had been there with family, I would have liked one or two more saucepans.
