Good calm place to stay, Host is a lovely person

This is the perfect place to unwind. It overlooks a lagoon full of birdlife and is only a few minutes walk to a clean quiet beach. I had breakfast and dinner every day and the food was excellent- especially the prawns!. Sha is always available for advice and help and took me to the fort on his scooter. You can walk to Thottada Town in 20 minutes where there are cafes, restaurants and banks. Sha also arranged transport for me to a Theyyam with his friend Sagar, which was a great evening.
The rooms are large and modern. I stayed upstairs and down. Downstairs is cooler so it was fine without aircon.
I'm sure I will be back.
Nothing really. I did suggest that some hammocks in the garden would be a nice touch - but then I might never leave

The room was spacious with a lovely balcony view of the backwater. At dawn the bird life was captivating .
In this area there are no bars cafes or restaurants. As a result we were reliant on our host for breakfast and supper. The food was ok at best. Little variety traditional Kerala food.
Also our host did not speak good enough English to help us plan things eg tuk tuk to town, tour options.

Such a serene location with the kindest host ever, who cooked beautiful vegetarian southern India meals and was always so friendly and on time. The host gets a 12/10
