Barefoot Beach Belize

Fabulous staff, beautiful, clean and comfortable property. Fast wifi and a really quiet, peaceful location.

Unfortunately the beachside bar and pool weren’t in operation while I was there. This was a big draw card for me, so it was a shame - with those closed, the walk into town for food / drinks was a little far, particularly late at night.

I loved the staff so much. They were fun and helpful and really made the trip wonderful. The location was great and I loved being able to go out on the dock and swing in the hammock with the breeze blowing over me. Heaven! It was clean and had everything I needed.

Can’t think of a thing.

Loved it very beautiful!

The property is really pretty. It's located far enough away from town that it feels quiet and safe but close enough you can walk everywhere you need to go. The bar area and dock are a great place to chill out. Larry is a fantastic bartender and the food and drinks are tasty and a good price. The aircon works well and provides great relief from the Caribbean heat. The communal kitchen is well kept and handy for making your own meals.

The main issue with our stay was our cabin was infested with carpenter ants. On the first night after showering they were swarming around the bathroom doorframe and when we woke up there were still 20/30 clustered around the door. We reported to reception and they did treat the room that day and although after the spray there were fewer it remained an issue throughout our stay as they are clearly nesting in the wooden doorframe. The mattress was one of the worst we've experienced in 6 months travelling Latin America and needs replacing urgently.
