About this cottage rental
The cottage lies at one end of the village about a 3-minute walk from the main piazza with its car park and Marina's restaurant. The cottage is part of the mountain; the first floor has an entrance with a traditional Italian arched double door leading into the lounge where there is a great stone fireplace with a large wood-fired stove. This leads to the modern pine wood kitchen with its dresser, dishwasher, hob and large round dining table that seats six. The stairs lead up to two bedrooms, one twin bedded with an en suite bathroom and one with a queen-size four-poster bed. A few more steps up lead to the upper lobby with the larger bathroom off it and a side door to the garden; the stairs go up to the final double bedroom all with tiled floors and timbered ceilings. The property is surrounded by a terraced garden with grapevines and a brick-built barbecue. You can relax and sit under the shade of the fig tree with wonderful views over the valley to the surrounding hilltop villages and mountains.

The house is in a great location with a stunning view off the terrace. The outdoor space was adequate and comfortable enough with the sun loungers and the table and chairs shown.The house itself is built into the mountainside and despite it being very hot, high 30s, the house was relatively cool, so we didn't miss having no air-conditioning.The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine. Just be aware that layout is somewhat quirky - the twin room having an ensuite and one of the other bedrooms being up a very steep, almost ladder-like, staircase. It was fine if you accept that.The kitchen was well equipped and relatively large with a table that is big enough to sit and eat at if necessary.The living room is small and the furniture a little rudimentary but we didn't really have to use it as the weather was so good.The internet had recently been installed was very good and surprsingly quick.The one main criticism was the cleanliness. Be prepared for cobwebs and a bit of dust...and the oven was, let's say, unusable - I'll leave it at that.The village where the house is located is delightful and the resturant/bar serves excellent food and is very reasonably priced.The scenery it that put of Toscana is beautiful and very mountinous. There are quite a lot of activities nearby, from zip wires, canyoning, rafting, kayaking and swimming in the river.I would recommend the house for its out-of-the-way stunning location, just be prepared to clean a little bit.

We loved staying at the ancient authentic Toscany house in the ancient mountain village of Toscana. The house itself had all you needed and stayed cool during hot days. The view from the terrace over the woods and mountains was amazing. The place is very quiet and excellent for those who love nature and hiking. The small restaurant in the village is good and very cozy. The restaurant in the neigbouring village is excellent. The place is a paradise, but one has to take into account, that it is a somewhat remote place. One has to travel longer distances to get to bigger places like Pisa, Florenz, or Sienna etc...

Tolle Lage! Das Wohnzimmer wirkt nicht gemütlich und ist sehr klein! Keine Dvds auf Deutsch! Küche war nicht sauber! Viele Handtücher !
