Very happy with our visit to West Bay . The George works hard to look after its customers.
Lovely room with great view, very nicely furnished, and comfortable bed etc. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast and we enjoyed our evening meal. We were very fortunate with the weather and very much enjoyed our stay.

Delightful hotel and pub with great staff
Perfect location with an excellent sea view room. Friendly, fun and attentive staff.
Only that they should keep the fire lit downstairs to really give the place ambience. Otherwise brilliant place.

A great place for a long weekend break
A perfect location with excellent and well-trained and attentive staff. We enjoyed the breakfasts ( we didn’t have a chance to try other mealtimes on this holiday)
Could be a bit noisy ( it is a pub in a seaside town after all) and some of it was a little bit run down ( though that was part of the charm of the place perhaps?)

Down at heel
Good location for walking and exploring West Bay.
This was once the principal inn in West Bay with its prominent position in the harbour and yet it feels very unloved and down at heel. No heating or real fire on early evening and cheap chairs and tables propped up with beer mats. Breakfast the next day was poor - poached eggs like bullets tasting of vinegar. The landlady wandering around with an armful of her personal laundry. Cleaning products left on the bar. Before arrival we were messaged about opening hours but it would have been nicer to have added a note about where we could park rather than having to move the car from the parking in front of the pub. For £125 odd this is poor value.

Room 4 .lovely... 4 poster bed and sea view. Very nice breakfast and dinner...
Slightly doggy whify, but this is a great hotel for walkers.
