Finca Barlovento Cabaña, Tayrona

It was the first time I’d ever stayed in this sort of room (open to the outside, where you fall asleep to the sound of the waves). It was a really lovely experience. The location is also ideal, right next to the swimming pool. The restaurant serves some truly delicious dishes!

Although I don’t think this bedroom next to the sea is to everyone’s taste (it’s a rather bold choice), I really liked it.

It has a beautiful view from the room, beautiful landscape also with a river view from Tayrona Park, it is very relaxing.

There is no desk at room, sometime I work while I travel so I would like to have a desk and a chair to work in the room. There is a table very high that cannot be used as a desk.

The location is great, the views from every point at the hotel are magnificent, food at the restaurant was excellent , and has two small but beautiful swimming pools. It is a beautiful hotel, very peaceful, waking up and seeing where the sea and the river merges is just an amazing experience.

The cabanas are very small and felt somewhat unsafe, as the balcony is so low that you could easily fall “fatally”. Although you have a private bathroom, it is located outside the room (which was not specified in the booking). It also didn’t feel very private, as you could be seen through the door vents.

Bed was on a platform with steep steps, nowhere to put a phone or glass of water near bed, no hot water in room, oh and you could open the locked door by putting your hand round the frame as the cabana is completely open in the front. restaurant menu limited and food very average , last night's prawns overcooked and steak tough, but eating in this is only option as nowhere else near.
