The cottage was beautifully presented with a spacious kitchen and living room, information on the history of the local area and very friendly and helpful hosts. It is a great base for exploring Durham and Hadrian's Wall.

Great location, clean, well equipped and spacious. Super little outdoor space, although we didn’t use it on this occasion. Good to have an actual folder giving a lot of useful and interesting information rather than having to go online. Good communication with the host. Good WiFi. Lovely pub just a few steps away with friendly staff and good food.
There was a strong, very intrusive smell from the oil fired boiler in the kitchen.
