The cottage was very big amazing lovely decorated inside and very comfortable. Lovely garden outside with table & chairs. Also woods and nice walk over the road to walk dog

Cottage was nicely furnished and really spacious. Very nice rooms, big kitchen and a comfortable bathroom with a great shower.
Owner was very nice and helpful when a question regarding the heating came up.
We really liked the information provided concerning the history of the colliery village.
Nice pub a few meters away.
Location was quiet at night, a good dog walk into the forest was just over the street.
Very good base to drive to Durham and Beamish Museum . Museum is definitely like Durham
absolutely worth a visit - at Beamish you can go
back in time, (ticket is not cheap but valid for a whole year).

The space was amazing and beautifully appointed. It was cosy and welcoming and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great and the surrounding area peaceful and beautiful.
The main bedroom bed would benefit from a thick memory foam mattress protector to make the bed more comfortable. Maybe a later checkout time would be good if leaving on a Sunday. 10.30/11 instead of 10
