Our host, Mr. Marcelo waited for us to disembark at the port, and with my name on the paper we found each other very quickly. As our Spanish is negligible Mr. Marcelo's online translator proved most useful. He drove/welcomed us to the apartment, and showed us around and how to use the water heater and gas stove. During the drive over to his apartment, he also pointed out the tourist highlights and the grocery stores, all of which we visited. He was quick to respond to our inquiry on the botanical gardens with supporting website information and pertinent details. Finally, we were appreciated his punctuality when we needed a ride to the airport.
We were extremely fortunate that Marcelo took us directly to his apartment. Otherwise we would not have known the apartment number nor the floor it was located, as this information is not included in our booking.
