Aurora Serviced Apartments

Our room is spacious and quiet, we slept well. The bathroom countertop is big, the shower pressure and temperature is good and consistent. Everything is clean and works well. Convenient location. Right across is a small 7-11 and one highly rated restaurant with great service which draws many tourists. Right next to it is more of an authentic local Vietnamese restaurant that we find ourselves not a fan of that taste.🤣. Though they don't serve breakfast, there's an eatery that we had breakfast plates in an alley right next building. There is a very tasty grilled chicken and pork small eatery about a block away for evening or late night snacks. It's easy and cheap to call Grab to the famous busy and noisy clubbing street(~$2) and other places. Walking distance to the War museum. It's like an Airbnb but there's a real person at the reception all the time, felt secure.

The safe box is not secured/ not fixed, it's light weight, easy to take away. We didn't use the safe.

Good central location whilst still being a little way out of the craziness. Quite, very well set up and beautiful staff.

Lack of clarity when paying for transfers to and from airport. Desk wanted us to pay them and the driver wanted us to pay him. Kitchenette could do with basics like a toaster and tongs. Supply of ice.

The location was great, with many nice spas, hair salons, tourist attractions, and, of course, a variety of small and large restaurants offering great food. The room was spacious, with plenty of storage, and had everything you would expect in a 4-star hotel (even though it was actually a 3-star hotel). I noticed that others mentioned construction noise starting early in the morning and continuing until late at night. However, I only heard noise here and there, and it was not bad at all. I had no problem sleeping in late or resting in the evening. The hotel is located on a busy street, right next to a university? building, so there are always lots of young people around and traffic can be quite heavy. However, once I was inside, it was quiet, and it is tucked away from the main nightlife streets. Also, washing machine and dryer was very handy (free detergent and softener too!) as the weather was warm and humid and I like washing my clothes myself. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay :)

I think the floor cleaning could be improved slightly, as I noticed the housekeepers were using a broom instead of a vacuum cleaner (perhaps to minimise noise for other guests). However, my room was serviced every day and everything else was clean. I also wish there had been a ceiling fan or some type of fan. The room itself was cool enough, so I didn’t really need to use the air conditioning. When returning from walking outside or in the early morning, a fan would have been sufficient for me instead of using the aircon. Plus, it was a shame that cafe is no longer there. It would have been a great spot to drink coffee or even a cocktails to chill/read books as it has nice windows facing the street. But these are only things I can think of for an improvement, not a deal breaker. I will definitely stay again :)

Clean rooms, nice accommodations

No soundproofing whatsoever, sounds permeate through the wall and ceiling. After leaving a substantial tip for housekeeping, upon checkout we were asked to wait in the lobby so they can check the room and make sure I didn't steal anything
