Wonderful location and rooms are very spacious and beautiful. The service of David was amazing all around, very friendly and excellent information about how to find the property, the extra early breakfast option and overall context.
There wasn’t much not to like.

We stayed in a beautiful room with exquisite en-suit bathroom. David wasn’t able to meet me on arrival, but sent a lovely video to show me how to access the house and bedroom. Perfect for our overnight stay to get to Epsom Hospital by 7am the next morning which is only 5 minutes drive from the property.

David and Jane are delightful hosts, the room was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. The breakfast was excellent if you have time to make the most of it, if not, it's expensive for a rushed breakfast (so make time, and don't rush it!). The shower is fabulous and parking was mostly easy (though see 'what you didn't like'!). It's a 15 minute walk into Ashtead where the restaurants are - though be warned, most of them are closed on a Monday!
I'm not a dog person, so to have the Pekinese (? might be another breed, I don't know!) yapping outside the bedroom door at 7am one morning wasn't ideal. However, David and Jane did mostly keep the dog in another part of the house, so it wasn't usually a problem. One evening someone parked right up behind Jackie's car, so it was a challenge for her to get it out the next morning, but that's not the hosts' fault!
