Loved la Ginestra and staying in Corniglia, very charming village

Very charming room, in typical Italian house, with great views of Corniglia . Loved staying here, the quietest of the 5 villages. Would love to come back .

The location was exactly in the middle of the city, however it also mean we need to walk the way up the stairs.

The room a/c wasn't fully function, and it's hot during the night.

Excellent apartment in heart of Corniglia

Located right in the heart of beautiful Corniglia, though tucked away so still quiet. This apartment was excellent value for money and had everything we required for our 4 night stay in Cinque Terre. Excellent air conditioning!

Was great to have access to a small fridge but this was not located in the room, shared with other guests. Balcony is accessed via steep stairs to mezzanine and doesn’t have much of an outlook, but nice to have fresh air!

Good value for money stay with great location.

Perfect location in the heart of the village, right in the middle of all the stores and restaurants. Kind host, was good with communication, check in and out smoothly, private bathroom and access to a fridge.

The beds middle and wood frame base has been bent over time… So you slope inwards when going to sleep. The bed itself is still comfortable so not a dealbreaker, but you definitely notice it. Great value for money stay if you’re wanting to explore the other four villages as it’s the perfect spot to base yourself and access them.

Loved our stay, totally recommend.

We loved Corniglia and our top floor 2 level apartment with small balcony in a lovely old building. We thought it good value for money as it was in the centre but quiet. There was excellent communication and an early check in which was much appreciated. The apartment was very clean and the bathroom though small was very functional. They provided a laundry service for 10 euro and the accommodation is part of the businesses that provide a trekking/train discount.There was an umbrella for use on the balcony or beach. The bed we found comfortable and air con worked.

We did enjoy our stay but suggest a replacement kettle that has an automatic off switch would have been better than the one provided. Some glasses knives and plates would also have improved our stay as would a fridge in the room rather than a communal one downstairs but in truth we made do with the cups and kettle provided and would stay again regardless as really liked the apartment and loved being in the centre of this lovely village.

Lovely stay!

Really cute and cozy, the location was great as the train station is right below! It takes about 15-20 minute to walk to the hotel from the train station-be prepared for about a half mile up stairs climb. Valentina was incredibly kind and accommodating and allowed me to leave my bag downstairs for a few hours while exploring! The shower is fantastic, it’s super hot and refreshing and shampoo and soap are provided for you- I wasn’t a fan of the shower curtain clinging to me though! The bed and room was spacious and overall generally comfortable. Absolutely will not find a better spot for the price!

I was under the impression that my room would have a view, but it did not. I also thought that there was a patio you could lounge at but there was none- however, that is my fault for not doing a better job double checking, still, i want others to know that! The towels needed to be cleaned again, they smelt rather strongly of mildew/ mold and while it was nice they were provided I didn’t feel like I was using a fresh towel. The room gets a bit stuffy as there is no AC. The WiFi didn’t work! All in all there were only minor issues and it was still a lovely stay

location, very close to the shuttle drop off. ambience, quaint and rustic. woke up to roosters, mourning doves and church bells. went to sleep to frogs chirping and church bells.

there are a LOT of stairs to get from the street to the room. we got our exercise a couple times a day!

Location. Good WiFi. Loved terrace to view the sea. I would pay extra to get room w terrace. Room is bigger than thought. There are shutters to close out light. Good shower - Shampoo and soap. Plenty of towels. Note - there are lots of steps to room but it was good exercise. Village life means church bells and roosters. Reminder. Get the 2.50 euro shuttle when arrive by train. Cash only. It may fill up - so many people. Wait for next one. Don’t attempt to take luggage without shuttle.

Comfortable beds. Quiet location and friendly locals - especially Cafe Matteo. Lookout views.

Significant amount of steps from station to unit. Only a kettle in the unit, instant coffee and no Mokka.

Very good

Comfortable room in a picturesque village with AC and a small balcony. There is self-check-in, and the host is ready to help over a messenger. There is a family of roosters living nearby that will help you not oversleep past 5 AM. Corniglia itself is a pleasant place to visit, and you can hike to the neighboring Vernazza.

Good sized room, great views from terrace and large window

Rooftop terrace with outside table and chairs. Another large window which was next to the bed that gave sea and Hill views - a perfect view as you wake up and open the shutters. The room was over two levels with a mezzanine so felt a decent space. There is a fridge to keep things cold which in the communal hall so is shared with the one other rental room below. The shower pressure was good and water hot. Appreciated that maps and guide books had been left to use which was helpful. The couple that owned it was friendly and helpful and leaving bags with them was no problem. Great location in the middle of Corniglia which itself is in the middle of the five villages and not as busy as the others.

The door to the terrace has a thin curtain that let's in a lot of light in the morning so a thicker curtain would be better (I used a spare duvet cover to make it darker and that was fine).

Tiny room The toilet kept flushing continually until I removed the flush button cover and unjammed the buttons. I could hear every moment made by guests in the next room, including the sound of their dog,'s claws on the floor.

Highly recommended!

La Ginestra was perfect place to stay on our 3 nights vacation. Perfect spot to hike around the Cinque Terre. The room was clean and cozy and there was enough space, when you you could use the upstairs and balcony also. The host was very friendly and helpful. Corniglia was small and peaceful village, perfect for us.

Easy communication with host. Plates, cups, tea and kettle and fridge available for our use. Very clean. Big windows that opened and a town/ mountain view. Note: Accomodation is up several flights of stairs. Not a problem for us. Location is very good for restaurants and shops.

Beautiful location - poor wifi

The location was the best part of this place. I wanted to stay in the middle of cinque terre as I would be traveling to each of the cities and found this place. If you are debating where to stay, this city was my favorite. It was quaint and beautiful. I felt very safe here, In terms of the room, I liked the space, the windows, and balacony.

The wifi connection was poor. It only worked in certain parts of the room. This might not bother some but I also wouldve liked a couple more towels. There were only two big towels - no hand towels/wash cloth.

Beautiful apartment with a lot of character. We loved the little patio and all the fun "nooks."

We stayed in the unit on the top floor, and the wifi signal didn't reach our room. When we raised this issue, it was sort of shrugged off. For travelers, this is an important consideration.

The room was very clean and sunny in the morning. Corniglia is the perfect central spot to discover the other villages. It was nice to come back to this calm village in the evening after a strenuous hike.

Omg I really loved this apparent to stay. It's so cute. They also have heating (normal and AC). It is very central and I had the best sleep during my cinque terre stays.

Go, to Corniglia

Corniglia is more quit than the orther cinque terra Villages. The room is also quiet and shops just down the stairs.

Perhaps a top mathress would have been good.
