Villa Melissa

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Melissa – the villa is beautifully located close to the beach, very stylish and almost luxurious, with a fantastic pool and everything you need for a perfect holiday. Mike was an excellent host, always responding quickly and helpfully to any questions, and his mother even surprised us with an absolutely delicious homemade moussaka, which was such a lovely gesture. Our group of five felt very comfortable throughout the stay, and with several excellent tavernas nearby serving great Greek and Cretan food, we can highly recommend Villa Melissa.

The only thing we did not like was having to leave! We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay at Villa Melissa that we would have happily stayed much longer.

It is heaven on Earth! Mike is the best host we ever had, he was extremely helpful in any topic, and you must visit his restaurant in Ierapetra which is the best in Crete! Nice pool, 5 mins walk to the beach, really nice restaurants in walking distance. The house looks amazing, comfortable beds, every machine you need (washing machine , coffee, toaster, etc etc). It was probably our best ever holiday with our kids.

The only downside of the location is that it might be windy sometimes - we had the meltemi wind for a couple of days which meant we had to go with our rented car to find some sheltered bays nearby, as the pool and beach was very windy (the pool is not heated). On the positive side there are quite nice sheltered beaches is case of windy weather in Myrtos and Achlia.

Mixalos and Family were great and very helpful. Great pool, large villa, close to good beach club, and a few good restaurants

Villa info pack, and details on surrounding restaurants, tourist stuff and emergency/doctor info.
