Villa Valentina Issyk-Kul

Vlakbij het meer, aan het begin van een prachtige route de bergen in. Er is een keuken met veel voorzieningen.

Bij afwezigheid van Valentina is het in Villa Valentina een beetje behelpen. Zo vroeg in het seizoen is het nog erg fris in huis. De badkamer was niet erg schoon. Bedden zijn zacht, maar vrij kort.

L'endroit était magnifique, l'hôte Valentina a pris le temps de nous faire visiter le jardin et de discuter avec nous, elle est super souriante, attentionnée, et intéressante. Les produits du jardin étaient délicieux, ainsi que la confiture et le miel maison. La guesthouse se trouve juste à l'entrée de la route qui mène aux gorges et à proximité de nombreux petits magasins.

Place not really clean.

One must account for the price when reviewing, which other reviews seemingly don't always account for. For what I paid I consider my stay 5/5. There is decent WiFi, hot water and a guest kitchen with all the necessary amenities you may use. The guest accommodation is an annex and consists of three bedrooms. The location is good as it is situated a few minutes walk from the market and main road on the roadway which leads all the way to the Gorge. Should you wish to walk the Gorge, do note that the Google estimates are very inaccurate. I fast walked to the Gorge end, where the road forks in 2 hours flat which is more than half Google's walking estimate. I completed the loop back to the highest via the adjacent town in six hours approximately. A further note about the guest house is that it is a farmhouse, so cleaning standards aren't what one might expect at a hotel. For the price paid I nonetheless recommend.
