Would recommend for anyone wanting to relax in Tuscany

Beautifully renovated, in a small town on a hill among vineyards. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings, especially during late spring, summer and early autumn, when the vineyards are green and you can also use the outdoor pool.

Soundproofing between rooms could be a bit better. We booked 2 rooms and the couple staying in one of them was awakened at 7am by other people staying at the property.

Friendly staff but the place needs some modifications

The kindness of the hotel staff

There is no suitable way to bring the luggage from the parking to the room. There is no kettle for making tea or coffee in the room. There is only top douch in the shower. It's not convenient when you want to avoid wetting your hair. The wifi is very very weak in the room. We could not use it. It's nice to have a desk in the room, but there's no electricity socket nearby to use a laptop.

Beautiful setting. Room was clean and tidy.

Shower was tiny. Also we were there in the middle of the afternoon on a hot day. Hoping to sit by the pool as that is really the only thing to do. For some reason the pool was closed and they would not open it. Very disappointing as we with friends at other hotels in area and their pools were open. Seemed like they just did not want to go to the trouble of opening it.

Short stay at Casale Serena

It’s very nice (location, swimming pool, garden, rooms)

Dinner was passable. When we booked, we requested a cot which we were told we were getting “for free”. When we got there, there was no cot and the host (with whom we only spoke on the phone) said that previous guests had broken it. He kept saying “I can give it to you anyway, but it’s broken”. Then, luckily, one the of the cleaning ladies helped us and retrieve maybe a different cot (?) which we could use. I’m aware these things can happen, but I would have appreciated a warning, instead of getting there and be in that situation. Also, it sounded like the host wanted to avoid any responsibility by saying that he didn’t charge us for the cot (hence implying we shouldn’t have expected to get it??). Body was and shampoo are provided but the labels on the containers say “dish soap” so we didn’t use them. Then the staff told us it was a mistake and they were indeed body wash and shampoo. Couldn’t they tell us earlier so we could have used them??

Disappointing

Pool and everything looks great staff are lovely

Almost everything, bed was uncomfortable and food was overpriced and cold and took two hours to get main. The salad was just lettuce. Bathroom had hair on the tiles. Breakfast was very ordinary. They need sign to direct you to the property as it is down the road from where gps tells you that you have reached the property. Overall, unfortunately not good value but has potential.

In the garden they also have little romantic areas to have dinner at. The restaurant was also very good and practical in case you dont want to leave the hotel.

Delightful hotel in a lovely garden

Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. We had dinner in spite of arriving quite late. The dinner was served in a cozy garden patio as was the breakfast. The big garden was artistically laid with swimming pool at the end and many seats to lay and relax. In the garden there are many delightfully designed covered corners to seat. We just loved the place and the way it was artistically designed. Our host was very kind and extremely helpful.

Hiddem gem in Umbrian Appennini

We had a great time. The farmhouse itself is very picturesque and well-furnished. And the staff is exquisitely kind. Breakfast was a lovely morning treat. We took away a great memory and a lot of satisfaction for the treatment we received.

The room is perfect for family to have a holiday stay. Every corner inside the house is clean. There are two 2-person beds and two twin beds inside the rooms. Also the stove and refrigerator are provider. It’s perfect for entire family stay. There are also a beautiful garden. I can see there owner is taking good care of those rooms. I would definitely come back again if I have the chance.

A very good, clean hotel in a peaceful area with a beautiful garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the highway. Very good breakfast. We were travelling by car so the private parking was much appreciated.

Would be nice to have a small table in the room and 1-2 sockets to charge the telephones.

The atmosphere of the structure and the view. The fact that we could reach the location at late night and the person in the reception was really available.

In the room there is a big window directly in front of the bed, you can see outside a nice view but there was not any curtain therefore no privacy. Early in the morning of course you are waked up by the sunlight.

Contagious enthusiasm from the owner Salva.

It's near the highway which makes it a good economy choice near Rome when travelling through. The enthusiasm of the owner Salva is contagious. He even made me try and take seconds on his crema calda with Cornetto. The place is in a rural setting very quiet.

The breakfast is typical Italian with mostly sweet options. Rooms are basic. Don't expect modern design. It's functional and what you can expect for the price.

Stunning location, welcoming host and amazing breakfast!

Casale Serena is a beautiful location with stunning views on the valley, managed from the new owner Mirco. He made us feel welcome from the start after showing us the beautiful rooms he offered us a coffee and explained what to do in the area. The rooms are cozy and very clean. Would 100% recommend this place to stay and explore the beauty of Umbria. We will definitely come back!

Very poor

Place is Not worth to recomend. Main issues: kitchen is in the room but we cannot use it, we cannot even boil water for tea because host dont allowed, pool is closed at least till 12:00-15:00 per day, wifi is unavailable, near the pool garbages are full and dirty, host does Not allowed to dry clothes outside the rooms because it doesnt looks Nice in his opinion - in the room there is No such place to dry even a towell. Also You need to follow strict rules mainly set by host, which are totally unlogic. I do Not recomend this place at all..

First of all the staff were unprofessional and not friendly. Facilities are good but not available. the pool is under maintenance (cleaning) everyday from 9am to 3 pm. The main entrance to the rooms is closed after 9pm with a chain. The only way to get in is from the garden. Breakfast is only croissant with coffee and tea.

The place itself is beautiful.

I am cycling. As it is very hot and I start riding very early. And arrive earlier then normal. I asked, whether I could check-in earlier. Even though the owner was present they only let me in 10 minutes earlier - after waiting for two hours. I consider this as unfriendly. Additionaly there was no Wifi. Even though it was advertized. They blamed Booking for not changing the offering.

the staff at this property are absolutely incredible. We had the best meal we had in Italy here cooked on location. the property itself was gorgeous, with a beautiful pool and multiple lounging areas.

This property was a bit difficult to find, wifi was not working and thus only took cash.

Beautiful property, great location—family friendly

Really beautiful location. If you are traveling, conveniently located not too far from the autostrada. Staff was so friendly and helpful.The apartment was a comfortable size for our family of 6. We came in October and only stayed one night as we traveled but we hope to come back when it’s warmer and enjoy the beautiful property.

The WiFi was down on our floor but it wasn’t a big deal for us as we had a short stay.

Christian, Paolo and young Salvatore were so nice and welcoming. The location is incredible and extremely convenient to reach (just a few minutes drive from the highway!). We stayed for one night and they kindly invited us to stay relax in the pool the next day. We had a wonderful Bistecca di Chianina that they had just purchased on the day at the market and enjoyed their company. Definitely recommend! p.s: music taste by the pool is on point! You'll have fun.

Fabro weekend

The owners were very nice people, the location very good. The dinner was excellent and well priced. The chef was very professional and took care of his clients.

We paid for a deluxe suite but only got a normal room with bathroom. There was no shampoo or shower gel, we were told that they dont place it in the room. The rooms looked all the same and think 96 euros was a bit too much for a normal room.
