Villa Maria de Waard

The villa was lovely. It was spacious and located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. It was within easy walking distance of Burriana Beach and also the Balcón de Europa. The villa had a lovely pool and garden which were ideal for our young grand children who spent the majority of their time in the pool.

There seemed to be a lack of thought as to how to make the stay more comfortable. For example, there was no welcome pack containing useful local information. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms. There was less than half a roll of toilet paper in each of the toilets. There was only one tea towel for the week. Cots were provided by the host but he didn’t mention that sheets for them were not provided. The towels and bedding seemed old and discoloured. ( they looked grey rather than white). In the email contact that I had with the owner, Eamon, he was unhelpful and his replies were short and curt. He gave me the impression that he wasn’t interested.

Vi hade en härlig vecka i Nerja. Huset och läget var jättebra med fin trädgård och härligt poolområde.Vi var 13 personer från 8-73 år som trivdes.

Lite slitna utemöbler/korg stolar som vi knappt vågade använda. I källarvåningen var det speciellt en säng som var mycket sliten och en bräda ramlade på golvet när ett barn la sig, såg ut som att sängbotten var lagat vid flera tillfällen. Dåligt städat i källaren där det fanns myror o olika skadoinsekter. Deposition på 500 £GBP som jag betalade innan ankomst och som skulle återbetala 48 timmar efter avfärd enligt avtalat har inte återbetalat, inte bra.

Location and long driveway were perfect. Plenty of crockery and glasses. Garden and huge pool were fabulous. Ideal for big family (There were 14 of us aged 1-85)

Would have liked plastic glasses/beakers for the garden/pool area and some coat hooks (heavy rain when we arrived)

Een prachtig groot huis in een rustige buurt. Heerlijk met zoveel ruimte met 10 personen. Lekker zwembad

De betaling kan alleen via paypal en daarmee werden de kosten veel duurder dan de prijs op booking.com. Tevens was er een depositum van 500 gbp (ook via paypal) die binnen 48 uur terugbetaald zou worden. Dat werd uiteindelijk 7 dagen na herhaaldelijk vragen. Moeilijk om kontakt te krijgen met de eigenaar. Via paypal niet mijn hele depositum teruggestort gekregen.
